It's modelled differently, so the smoothing groups are different. shading isn't quite as apparent in UT.

I'd have to export it an' import it an' stuff to do that. Just imagine it with the shading about half as dark.

Ideas

If you fall far enough holding alt fire, it could generate redeemer-style explosions(size depending on velocity), which don't hurt you, but if you hold down alt and primary fire and land, you suicide with a blast twice the size!
Is that a good idea or would it be too unbalanced?
Should it only make an explosion with both buttons down?

No explosions, just shock waves when you bounce high enough. Probably a modified water ring.

Well...

Forget the suicide idea as well.
Will you take damage from hitting the roof? I think you should, and if you die from it, it should use the decapitation animation.
I reckon if you land at teminal velocity, it should make an redeemer style blast, but only for decorational purposes, so it wouldn't hurt anybody.

No progress on the model, very little on the code. Anyone know how to check what weapon the player's using? Is it Pawn(Owner).Weapon?

Possibly

Might be, that's the problem with Uscript, it's a hell of a lot tougher than Qc, with Qc I can change the landing pshics easily, and everything can be changed, with Uscript, a lot of the coding seems to be based seperatly somewhere hard to find, you might even have to build a new gametype, or you would require a mutator, possibly causing incomatibility with WoRM, with Qc, you can just nick coding from a weapon and practicly any change can be done, you can take nailgun coding and use it to piss on opponents, easy. (It could be because I have used Qc a lot longer, and likely to be because Qc involved reloading the whole thing to change a weapon, meaning you couldn't mix guns without knowing a bit of Qc)

I'd also like to know how the anti grav boots make you not take damage when you fall far; I could make much out of the code for them.

Hmmm...

You can survive any height without anti-grav boots? I not sure, but I don't think so, I think I remember jumping from a high bit onto the lower sections of CTF-Lavagiant, and taking damage. Perhaps it could be done with special armour that absorbs fall damage? I think you can do something like that.

well there was the featherfall suit, wich made you invunerable to fall damage

jumpboots use jumpz, and the higher the jumpz, the greater the pawn can fall w/o damage, but from very high, there still is damage
