Handles!? Ookaay... I use Milkshape 3D. You can get it at Chumbalum Soft's website, wherever it may be.

You have obviously never seen a pogo stick.

You hold onto the stick itself.

No handles, smoke, I've never seen a pogo stick with handles.

Someguy if you can show me a pic of a pogo stick with handles I'll take this back.

I have a pogo stick with handles... I just know they don't have to have handles. Here's a model with handles, for comparison.

Yes I did. It wasn't much like my model, though. It was kinda bulky, and had a bunch of yellow plastic.

Right...

I understand now, if fire isn't held down, then when you land you don't bounce up, just make a mess on the floor, or perhaps bounce back up at half height, and when you start to fall a safe distance you stop bouncing, if you got out a weapon in mid air, you'd make one hell of a mess if you didn't get the pogo stick out(depending on height), that would be interesting.
About the handles on the pogo stick, there is a pogo stick on http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/pogo_stick.htm which has handles, it also uses a gas chamber instead of a spring, a pogo stick with an impact hammer on the bottom would be interesting, also, I think (but haven't checked it yet) Commander Keen had handles on the pogo stick.
I think the footstands on Smokes model should stay the way they are.

I'm not suggesting it should look like that, I'm just showing that some pogo sticks do have handles on, but perhaps the area where the spring goes should be thinner, if you just have a spring texture over the spring area, with the same depth as the rest of the pole, I reckon it would look a bit weird.

Yeah, I noticed I forgot to make the lower bit thinner, but I didn't want to remodel it to fix it. I may, though, seeing as it was so simple to make.

The original

The original model looks best, mainly to do with the shading, the new stand design isn't an improvement, it's not particularily worse, but not better either, assuming you can render the light to the quality of the original, otherwise the original is best.

What he wants is our opinions, else he wouldn't ask.

The first one IMO. I mean, the foot pegs anyway....
