Each char will eventually get a mask. I want to include another upl-file making all team-colors available for Death-Match games (team colors seem not to be working properly for other game modes tough), that is the point were the masks come into play *g* I'll see how it looks in the end

Viper's and Havoc's Backarmors are now also revised so they look more different. Havoc's shoulders are at the moment black again, the orange parts seemed not to fit proberly, but maybe I'll get some good ideas later *g*

A MK-Skinpack is a good idea, would be funny making Sub Zero and the gang, but I think there must be a model made for best performance. I'll give it a try after that project :p

OFFTOPIC:
For each species one melee weapon is ok, has always been in UT (Impact Hammer, Shield Gun...), but they should be balanced, the starwars-lightsword mod for UT(99) was pretty cool *g* I thinkt it was calles UT4ever, many cool weapons

After some busy time, I've taken a time-out this weekend and spent some time on updating my skinpack :)

I've updated portraits and here are the current versions of Stinger and Natasha. At the moment I'm on Elektra, pix are to come ;)

Well, maybe it`s just time for another status report *g*

I have the team splittet now in 4 texture- and upl-files. Just in case it will get to big in the end.

Viper, Natasha, Shadowcat, Elektra, Fury - finished for the moment
Havoc, Stinger - Bodyarmor should still be fixed a little bit
Neos - at the moment done, but face wineeds revision
Cobra - face and body are WIP
rest - WIP

When it`s all done, I`ll see if i have some inspirations about cooler char-portraits and start with shaders (at least I`ll try *g*)

Ah yes, the voicepacks *g*

I`ve recorded some sounds and put have them in a beta-voicepack, sounds good so far I think, but please tell me your impressions.
I`ve saved the files as wav (PCM unsigned, 8 bit mono), but they are still quite big, maybe VPs should be released seperately...let`s see how it goes. *g* I`ve tried to make the sound a little bit more "mechanic" to give it more radio-feeling, but I`m not fully satisfied now. If someone has clues, he/she/it is welcome :D

Anyway, this time i just included some very small char-pics (made them all for avatar-use in BUF, I still couldn`t decide which one to take *g*), I just was to lazy making screenies of the update (of course that will be made in the future *g*)

OK, enought talked, ah, written let`s go BTW *g*

I hope it won`t be too big (keeping 56k users in memory ;) ), but I have no experience yet how the shaders are blowing up the filesize *g*

I hope 20-25 MB will be enough for one part. When all is done, and the filesize can be prooven, I think then doing some mathematic exercises will be good *hrhr*
In worst case, I`ll split the whole thing in 4 Wings (Alpha, Bravo....) á 4 chars, including all 4 team-colors (no even more splitting for "TC light version" and upgrades, in the end there would be 100 zips *gg*)

Voicepacks, at current state, won`t be included (except Cobra *g* and ev. another, depends on Metzgermeister *g*), but upl-entries will be made, so they can be dwl afterwards (if I get some voice-actors *g*). But I must reduce filesize here , but no idea in the moment :(

Ah, small question in the end to all UEdit-masters:
Must be all tex in DXT5-format for best performance, or can they be DXT1 bringing equal performance? There can be saved a few megs here I think *g* but the DXT1-skins should not look worse than DXT5 ;)

Okay im back from not coming on in like 2 months. Not bad. I wanna use them when i get my comp fixed (Yes still waiting) Im sick of waiting not i gotta save up a lot of money for the hard drive and grfx card :( Im looking forward to atleast seeing that when its done.

Unfortunately I must work pretty much at the moment and have not so much time anymore for skinning, but it will be released as soon as possible :) Hopefully this weekend I can go on with skinning.

On Killjoy I started yesterday, Backarea must still be revised, but a first screenie can be shown :)

And again a small update (I`m very confident to finish that stuff before UT2k7 comes *lol*)

Actual I`m on Dileila and the team logos. Then only 3 chars remain, and then it will be shown if I can handle those shaders. Wish me luck *g*

There are still some things, that should be re-revised :|

especially the 3 "real" faces (Neos, Titan and Cobra), unfortunately I have drawingskills equal to a tuxedo wearing chimp, but I`m good at recycling *lol* and I don`t like Havoc`s suit....my brother has called him "gaylord", well that should definitaly be changed *g*
and maybe some "special effects" on Sentinel and the "MäxX fearing" shaders on all chars *g*
And I have not given up hope in making a voicepack too (at least my voice is a fixstarter), but currently the files are just to big, even in 8bit mono and I need to make them sound like they are from the "team-radio". I`ll be searching for clues after the skinning part :) *lol*

glad to hear you like the design, that boosts the adrenaline to 100 and let`s me execute the top secret "Skinning Spree"-Combo *lol*

The effects on the CTF4-Exile II and Dis Pater(I think you weren`t unguilty on this releases *g*) have inspired me on making effects on robots (at least somme small are planned) and the shaders on Leena for effects on armor. Compared to that, my skins just weren`t able to make me that happy any more (and all chars looking the same, was really a little bit dull) *g* and the "black areas" on the faces...well a scandal, I`ll fix it as good as I can *g*



ok that pic here is old, but it shows the current Sentinel (without the nasty pipes!!) :D but it never has been released because I decided to make the update on the whole team :)

I managed inserting 4 Teamlogos *lol* now all that remains is designing 4 good looking ones (the 4 were taken for test purposes from the guild wars page *g*)

Due expecting the files to be huge, I`m considering of splitting them into one "big one" for broadband and 4 Sub-Team-Packs. Of course every one with its own logo ;)

So if anybody has a little bit time left and can make cool logos, I`d appreciate that, otherwise I`ll see what I can make with these, when all other stuff is done

The one in the bottom right is probably the only one I'd change, MäxX... The others are way cool. I'd have replied sooner only I never get emails anymore to tell me when someone's posted.

Also thanks for what you said about my robots. Believe it or not ExileII only took about 15-20 mins to do as I just threw an effect on the skin (did nothing with the original textures). Dis Pater too was one of the quickest I did at about an hour. I average about 4-8 hours on a skin 'cause I get fed up by then and just finish it up...

Will keep an eye on progress :)

You`re right, the notifications were handy, it`s really a vicious circle, I just take a look at my subscr. threads ;)

The logos just need a little bit more work, they just don`t look that good in game, but the primary objective (for now) was to insert some. You`re right, the yellow one just looks a little bit boring, well maybe I`ll keep them, the other 3 really don`t look that bad *g*

That`s kinda fast! When you know what you have to do (and are doing), there can be great results in less time.*g* Some skins just need their time (especially when you try and try many many different things, and you are just unsatisfied with the outcome *g*) At least the team-colors are made in no time (sometimes) :)
