Old, perhaps, but great. I love black and white. Only gripe I'd have with that shot is the centering, otherwise I don't think its bad at all.

Your photos are still the only things that are more of a travesty to humanity than you are.

Greyscale and macro don't make art. Good photos make art. You seem to think taking photos of random shit from funny angles and sucking the color out of it is art. The only time a bigger mistake was made is when your mother jumped on the anti-abortion bandwagon.

Here're some pictures of my cockatiel. These were taken on my Minolta G500, 2 and 5 second shutter speeds, F4.9, auto focus. They're nothing fancy; I just wanted a few pictures of my new bird. Kudos to the little guy for holding more-or-less still for each shot.

Also, here is some art. You can tell it's art because I took out the color.

Giving people the finger over the internet only works if you use a poorly encoded video and include your ugly head on it. Furthermore, it only counts when the only effect it produces in the viewer is uncontrollable amounts of laughter.

Ice proved this.

Yep that's what I did, since I just happen to be using a $150 digital camera. Oh wait, I'm not. I'm using a NikonFM and I deveolped and printed all my B & W photos myself. That flower picture isn't my best, I admit. Maybe that's why I didn't include it when I posted some others back in August.

It actually almost works for your picture. B&W works best when the subject is very intricate or complex, like somebody's face. Beerbaron's lighter pic up above for instance, would make a fantastic B&W photo, because there's alot happening. A shit stained thumb holding a lit match in front of a lens would not, because nothing is happening.

A chain on a piece of paper isn't interesting with or without color. Neither is a handful of quarters scattered under a blacklight.

Ice: Art is a photo of your curb-stomped skull.

This is a striking Black and white photo, in my opinion. Graham Nash the fantabulous singer and photographer took it back in 1998 and it wasn't staged at all, he just happened to be walking and saw this girl with an UZI (probably a toy) next to her.

Here's an update on my room. After cleaning it, I decided to turn off the lights, open up the shade and test out the 15 second shutter speed. My window faces west, and these pics were taken shortly after sunset. Not being a photographer by trade, I was surprised at how much light this thing "sucked" in, as I could barely see the door and chair on the left when I was lining up the shot.

Incidentally, my bed was behind me (my room's pretty big).

And yes, that is a DBZ poster in the mirror. :p

I envy you, envy, for your computer setup. Oh, and nice job on getting the glow, I'm always a sucker for shots that have a type of aurora surrounding a light source.

I'm planning on taking a whole stack sometime this week. I'll post them once I'm satisfied with them. I can show you some of the totally random crap that I take photos of, but they're hardly even slightly artistic. They're usually just to prove a point or to make funny on IRC.

And FTUXXX... at the cleaning up. That must have taken some time.
It was an all-nighter, but five garbage bags and 40 pounds of recycled paper later, it's all nifty :D

Of course, knowing me, it'll be messed up again within a month.
