So I went back and looked at all of my shots and I found this one. Thoughts?

Alright, I've got two photos here and I cant make up my mind which is better. They are both excellent but only one of them will be used as a promotional photo in an upcoming project.

I took these photos yesterday at the coast. The project and the primary reason for doing this shoot failed due to some unfavorable weather conditions. (overcast, fog, not enough wind) but I wasn't going to let that stand in the way of getting some excellent shots while we were there. I'll revisit the idea again in the future.

Which one do you favor more?

The first one. What's the expression you Americans use about when life throws you lemons?
Weather will do what weather will do, and the first shot makes absolute use of the conditions you had at the time...to the point where, if you hadn't told us, I'd think that you were hoping for a low contrast scene, where fog took the horizon, and the lack of colour really means that her hair and skin are picked out.

Like BBA said, I don't think anything needs changing, and whilst the second shot is also very lovely, the first shot is the one that really harnesses and makes use of what you had to work with that day

Took some shots around the Tokyo Sky Tree recently.

The orange at the top is from me making a noob mistake. I was talking with a friend when I went to change the film. Being distracted I forgot to rewind the film. The last four shots were ruined, but this one had a kind of happy mistake.

Full resolution.

Pretty awesome photo I took a few days ago. Those clouds were absolutely massive, I don't recall ever seeing anything like it. Just beautiful and huuuge. The light also helped a lot.
Should say that I actually took 6-7 photos and told Photoshop to put them together.

Dude! This is raaaaaaaaaaaaaad! The color and detail really is something special here.

Did you shoot in RAW? There seems to be a little bit of noise I think you could get out without sacrificing detail. Anyway, I love it!

Awesome cumulus congestus clouds! I believe I see an anvil of a thunderstorm in the background between the two rightmost "turrets" of the clouds. Did any other clouds grow to become cumulonimbus?

Thanks for all the nice comments :)

I did shoot in RAW, and I'm right now working on making a better version. The colour is harshly exaggerated in this first version, along with noise, so I'll try to reduce that.
Poly, I sort of thought the same, maybe not nukes, but definitely some massive explosions, perhaps steam explosions. It looks crazy
Zxan, I knew you'd have some knowledge about these clouds. I didn't keep an eye on them, but I believe they started to quickly dissipate not too long after I took the photos. I don't recall hearing thunder.

edit: Ok so here we go!

This is the final cut I think, everything is how I want it, maybe some strong colours, but it looks fine I think. Got some good input from you guys at least.

Final cut.

Here is another version, it's basically the same, except it's got some more clouds in it and a little more noisy, but nothing special.
Zxanphorian version.

Here is the whole thing, no processing, barely any cropping, no resize. It's 9k, so it's a little big. I like the genuine colours in this one, and I do think I overdid colours in the other versions a little.
HUUUUGE.

Oh and the .PSD for this is 200 megabytes. Right now photoshop is sucking up 1.6GB ram and probably 2GB pagefile :{

I like both the processed and the non processed. The non processed clouds have more detail but lack the great colors of the processed shot.

Looks great! I like it.

Makes sense. If they were taken in the evening, they would be losing the daytime heating/destabilization for them to sustain themselves.
