Please Epic, please please please PLEASE PLEASE INCLUDE THE SKAARJ IN THIS PACK. I feel sad and empty inside playing as the Krall. I also want to see what the Skaarj will look like in this game. Everyone remember what the old Krall looked like? Now look at them. Imagine what Epic could do with the Skaarj. I hope they look like the ones from UT2004 and before and not the ones from UC2. Those Skaarj don't even look like Skaarj! But that's another story.

Even if I don't think that they'll bring back the Skaarj (the community is working at it atm), I'd rather want a single, Warlord-style one. It will be horrible though since if it's going to have wings, he'll cover too much stuff to the point of becoming annoying.
The return of the Skaarj Troopers won't be bad too.

The problem with the community made ones is that they (no offense to anybody) look like crap. They only slightly resemble the classic Skaarj, whereas UT2K4 Dominator/Guardian looked almost exactly like them. I'd rather let Epic make the Skaarj instead.

i wouldn't even mind the UC2 skaarj. they might be a bit heavy but i think they're pretty cool.

I think someone is setting their standards alittle high or perhaps wouldnt be happy even if someone nailed it dead on.

I seem to remember some shots of a really nice high poly zbrush skaarj (made by a community member go figure)!

No, Epic should not add Domination. Why? Well, because someone already did! I believe it was one of the "Best Gametype" winners, or at least one of the Runner-Ups. As for Invasion and Assault, YES PLEASE. I hope Epic remodels the Invasion creatures instead of porting the old models and sounds directly from Unreal 1.

You know what? This is a little off topic, but if Epic DID bring back Assault from the start, then the Campaign mode would've actually felt like a real Campaign mode. Maybe 3 or 4 DM games thrown in as well, y'know, to symbolize small skirmishes. Imagine an Assault map that's based on invading an Izanagi base, but instead of you doing the invading, you're defending it from the Necris. Instead of making up stupid things like "FLaGs" and with capturing them to keep the enemy with "Respawning", it would've been you and your team raiding a base, disabling shields, blowing doors up, destroying generators, that kind of thing. Would've been infinitely better. Of course, I haven't played Campaign myself, but seeing as how it's just TDM, CTF and Warfare maps all in a line, I don't really have any desire to play it.

Invasion already exists as mod and was even at MSUC as well. Only that the monsters are rather random thing and mostly using already avaiable ones or the custom ones like rodents pack.

And in the campaign you have sometimes choice to choose between more maps in it and some maps are bit modified, I mean when you first enter heatray in singleplayer it doesn't have darkwalker and you learn things as you go.
I mean it's better singleplayer than what ut2004 had and UT2004 had worst singleplayer for me. It really disgusted me when I played it, it was not fun at all and didn't have even onslaught in it.

From what I remember, that one had problems due to it being one of the first maps built to test the new engine tech (along with DM-Gestalt and that other outdoor platform BR/CTF map). All of them were intended for UT2003. LG][ had an issue with the skybox due to UT2003 -> UT2004 engine changes and was just never fixed. There's more to that story, but I don't recall all of the details.
At various points in the development of UT2004, all of the levels had to be rebuilt.

Toward the end of the development cycle I realized that LG][ had a HUGE BSP error that had somehow gone unnoticed. It happened to overlap a huge lava pit, but it also caused some navigation issues in areas that were supposed to be clear.

It was one of those "randomly die" type of bugs. It also caused some lighting issues.

If I recall correctly, I personally spent a couple of days tweaking the BSP and giving nudges trying to fix it to no avail. Even if I had been able to fix that hole, we were at the point where it would have been questionable to risk making changes that large at that stage of the game.

So we just axed the map.

You were one of the developers?

...So we just axed the map.

Which is the sensible solution at that point...all too often I read forums and think that people get too emotionally involved in something that at it's heart is a project that has real world demands and as such have expectations beyond reality.

Glad to hear the news, really hoping this ties in with DLC for ps3/360 also and will certainly be checking out what 'Titan' really means.

Been lurking round the site hoping something would come out of the woodwork for this game which will make me reinstall it.

Hopefully this pack is it. But with Epics's latest track record on pc gaming,I expect nothing but more console-friendly content and tons of new bugs/glitches to replace the ones they are supposedly "fixing."

Just my opinion. Please dont quote 10 million lines from the "update patch" thread trying to change that. Only thing that will do that is the actual pack upon release.

Ok, I'm impressed now. Well I'm becoming convinced that I'm GOING to be impressed, and happy to call UT my main game again.

See, at first I thought the "Patchzilla" and the Titan Pack were one and the same. Now that I really am starting to see how much behind-the-scenes work has been apparently going on at Epic to fix and update UT3.

If all this does in fact happen I'll be ready to enjoy UT3, and looking forward to buying the next game in the Franchise.

Here's my hopes for UT3, but lots of it is unrealistic I know:

-Single Player Campaign: Gone, and replaced with a heavily "Assault feeling" set of objective-based levels.

-Get some of that fancy lighting to be dynamic. I know there's tons of visual layering and little details of effects in much of the game, but seeing firelight not flicker or waver is just odd.

-Uncomplicate sound rendering. (3 sound cards, tons of optimizing, tweaking, and still it always sounds like someone else is picking up my items for me,.. someone behind and to the right of me... yet all other games sounds are fine.)

Still, my gripes aside, I'm totally impressed that Epic has even given thought to fixing UT3 after the backlash and poor sales. Doing all this in a way that gives us a better game for FREE is double amazing.

If they get this right, they'll be winning back a fervent fanboy, amateur level designer and preacher of the UT gospel.

**My 4 year old saw me playing UT3 this morning when he woke up, he said "Dat's not your zombie game, dat's your old game. It's working now?"

I said, Yup, dat's daddy's old game, and yeah it's getting fixed finally." :D**

corny, I know, but he used to love watching me edit maps and jam to tunes with me on our headphones.
