Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.
Quake 4 is actualy a litlte more resorse hungry than the old quakes. On older computers the framerate change is easy to see.
I don't have Q4, that's why I asked. I only played the MP demo and honestly, it looked like Q3 without bots, except maybe for a bit of specular highlights here and there.
To be clear - I made no claim to that effect - as far as I am concerned, the weapons are what the weapons are in any given game.
I did question your description of "not much stronger" when there is a 20% (or 25%, depending on which direction you are coming from) relative difference.
I have stated no opinion on whether the absolute strength of shock rifle counts as "nerfed".
Well lets just say its alittle more then Q3 with lower framerates, if youve played it you should know that. For 1, Q4 has a nailgun... Im not going into the rest. I will say there are some maps in Q4 that ****e all over Q3.
Here's a note, by the way; do NOT install the beta patch if your UT has been integrated into Steam - Steam saves the settings or something, so when you launch the game it still has some ties into the new features of the patch. Whenever you try and launch a game, UT3 crashes.
