There's pleanty of room in the world for Mac, Linux, Windoze, Chrome even(googles OS). It will be interesting to see how Chrome develops in the market as its basically a browser and you even store all your data online! It'll be a netbook type thing where its aimed at those only interested in online computing.
Linux is gaining popularity, the reason viruses are not such an issue or not an issue is in the OS privliges needed to 'let a virus loose'. Linux is much more secure. You first have to login as ROOT to have the full privliges and after that you have to explicitly give the virus permission. Not so in windoze. If a virus lands on your machine its free to execute.
