Looking forward to the release of Beta 5 tonight.
I had an extremely small role as a Team Orbit member and as my map is still months away from completion will be interested in those being packed with the Umod.

More feedback to follow...

That mod was pretty cool, but I decided not to keep it.

When I uninstalled it, it corrupted my UT uninstall list (you know where UT and all your Umods are listed for uninstall) so now when I go to Add/Remove Programs (windows) and then click Unreal Tournament it says:

"Unable to copy core.dll to UnrealTournament\System"

Or something to that effect. I went in the UT\System folder to see, but core.dll WAS there. WTF!?

Anyone know about this? How to fix it? I reinstalled UT and it still doesn't work. I am now unable to do a uninstall of UT.
And I just did a fresh install of Windows so that can't be the problem, I just hope it's not the solution either...

Please help:(

I want to take over the world, starting with the NC BBS. Since the Nali City sub forums aren't frequented so much I hereby claim this sub forum for Zarkasnia. Heil Zarker! [me salutes]

Oh, as for the topic: I cannot install Neo Cairo atm 'cos my HD is f*cked. But I like the concept.

Neo Cairo, my impression:

I played all the maps, I used all the toys, (mechs and aircraft included) and I played all the gametypes. From what I experienced, I wasn't too stricken with any sort of Neo Cairo fever. Also, to call the maps the Golden 20 or whatever was kind of an overstatement. I'd say barely over five of the maps were that impressive, and the others were at most playable for a few moments.

I will give credit where credit is due though, the game is fairly bug free from what I could see, there was a variety of equipment to toy with, and it is something that I feel that in time will really move on to become something interesting. Right now though I will have to pass. It feels like I'm playing Turok: Ragewars at the moment (I think in part to the lizard men running about) and not some fancy mech space epic. In fact the mechs were really more of a sidenote to me because I was much more useful on foot than when I was strapped into a cockpit. Still, once again I think the mod just needs more time for refinement and it will be grade A material. Until that time though I've got some AgentX to go toy with...

hmm.

92 megs of bug free mediocrity, or 3 megs of buggy darkmagic excellence...

megs to leetness ratio speaks for itself. by the time we fix the bugs well put up fight enough. by the time we REALLY get going well blow the tedious mechs away. or so it seems.

Neo Cairo is not what I hoped it'd be, but flying around and engaging in dive attacks on Mechs was fun.
I think it's like a puzzle. All the pieces for a beautiful picture are there, but in a mess atm.
