Nailing players to a wall when shot

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

yeah, I guess.
I just find it easier for when people want to remove your mut. If they wanna get completely rid of it then they just delete the ini file instead of having to cut out stuff from UT2004.ini. It's kind of a moot point i guess, up to whichever way you prefer.

I'd have to agree, an ini for every separate mut would make the most sense.. for a number of reasons: A) Mutator Updates require changing only one file B) Mod upgrades that require deleting existing game.ini files need to be reconfigured and remember all those mutators with ini settings. C) Uninstall is simple, Delete U file and matching INI file. Cluttering up a few extra ini files is just like having multiple UCL files, they just gotta be there so we accept it.

I disagree.

A) In what case would a Mutator Update require changing even one, let alone more than one, ini file?

B) As long as you don't change the way a setting works or remove it completely (and why would you do that?), what reason would you have to clear the settings?

C) They don't "just gotta be there". If you wanted you could have all of your settings for everything in the game in one ini file, and every cache entry in the one file.

All of the above are my opinion, so shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Well ya you could, but thats like saying every windows application should have the settings in one ini file. I know thats kinda like what the Windows Registry does, but IMO, the single registry is the most retarded thing Windows has done... makes partitioned disks a waste of time since if you reformat the windows drive you lose all the registry info on the other drives and partitions, but thats another story all together.

All the same, its moot, it works the same, just to each his own. :D
