I realize that this mutator would not be true to the design of the gun, but is there anyone who would be willing to make a mutator that would allow full automatic fire for the m16 (the old versions and the m16a4 version)? I figure it would take about 5 minutes by someone who knows what they are doing. I'd do it myself if i had any idea how. Cheers

I also have a request for noobs like me ;). i would like an hk-69 with automatic fire, with dozens of nades launched in a second. :)

/end of joke.

I don`t see the connection between to be a newbie (and i was one! :D) and to want a automatic m16. If you want automatic fire, take the minimi, or the famas, or the sig551...

Lol, yeah. The M16 was never meant to be full auto. Its an aimed fire long rifle. No military unit I have ever seen uses full auto M16s. Though yeah, the shortened M4 is full auto, just the US trying to mimic the AK in a lighter weapon.

Cudos to this community for making so many replies to a thread started less than 12 hours ago. Makes me think that the servers should be more populated.

About the mutator, mostly, i really like the sight on the m16a4 and im not accurate enough fast enough with burst fire to be very deadly (especially in close quarters)
:instagib:
Practics, practice, practice, I know.

I like the mp5 for its sight, but i like the m16 for its power. Seems like you can drill people with the mp5 and they still walk away and plug you with their rifle. I like the sig, but i have a hard time aimimg it at a distance. Based on my lack of skill, i simply like a powerful rifle that I can aim that can spit out alot of bullets. And comon, of course i knowthat the mutator i want is not true to reality.

Dude, if you want power go with the M249. Its basically an upgraded M16 full auto with a 200 round box magazine. It kicks about as much as the M16 would on full auto, and if you go prone with it, it kicks very little allowing for some awesome fire power. Or try the M16A4 that Duke just put out with the reflex sight on it. Good for closer range when you want more power. Like a heavier longer MP5 (with a grenade launcher!) . And actually if you are shooting from the hip and want to keep control while still getting some firepower, I suggest flipping the gun to semiauto and firing as fast as you can.
You'll get near auto fire with more control.

There is an M4A1 in the works, as Duke pointed out, and I think it will also have the reflex sight. There is always the option to wait for that weapon.

I think Ill wait for the M4A1. Sounds pretty cool. Thanks yal for the info!

Lol, Im from Texas dude, probably fired more weapons than you've ever seen. Including the M203. Finally, a sim that actually gave it a pretty realistic range.

Sorry but this :

The M16 and M16A1 WERE full auto. The M16A3 IS full auto. The C7A1 ( which is an AR15 ) IS full auto and is used in Canadian Military as main rifle. Other european country uses it too. The M4 is anything but a replica of an AK, it's only a smaller M16. I don't know why you think that an AK looks more like an M4 than an M16 besides the fact that the M4 is automatic. There is much more similarities in an M16 and an AK.

proved that you don't know anything about small arms. And the fact that you're texas AND fired weapons doesn't mean much either. Hell I drive a car and I don't pretend I know everything about them.

edit : And I don't pretend I know everything about them either, I have LOT to learn about them but still, when I don't know about something, I don't pretend I do.

For your information, the M16A1 in the US military ( you know, the guys that actually use it! ) is not fully automatic. It has three settings safe, semi, and three round burst. I know this, because I trained on it at Fort Hood Army Base. I also trained on the M203 there. Dont know about the old Armalite, I think it was full auto, but try finding an Armalite these days, maybe in a museum. Never have seen an M16A3 except in books. Think its just someones dream. Maybe you've been watching too many movies. They don't show much reality these days. As for the C7 don't know anything about it, some Canadian copy I guess. As for a full auto M16 type of rifle, I would go with the Stoner. Now please discontinue your pointless attack.

Shrap ignore this guy, not worth it.

Cyberjake, use the following loadout:
AKMSU, 8 mags, 2 grenades, 2 smoke grenades, level 3 kevlar and a helmet.
The AKMSU changes between full auto and semi almost instantly, so every time you want to go for a headshot nothing can stop you. I used it for about 3 years, and it's very effective.

Don't worry about the kick, with just a bit of training you can land 3 shots on a target 50 meters away, anything further away than that is an even easier target because the awesome sights give you an advantage.
