Yeah, card sure takes care of the server.. the game..3s is the best co-op server I've played on.
But it'll probably also take a while before I pop up again.

EDIT: Nalicity search about MH went fubar for some cosmic unknown reason. Still, filter it for Unreal Tournament - Monster Hunt below the results and you should be fine :p ...

I wrote a few messages on this thread long time ago,
and in a one I promised to make a serious map.
At last the map finished. :)

Bot pathing isn't done,
( the fact is that I couldn't work pathing correctly, and
gave up it )
so I don't submit this map to NaliCity.

It seems that genomewarriors is a source of inspiration for many mappers ;O) But hey, that's a good thing!

I'll check out your map. Btw, did you play mh-krogaar yet?

Ummm, This map is realy nice but there are some problems.:(

The first being, there are way to many monsters. Meaning they are spawning to many times. Something is also wrong with the monster counter. It doesn't go down when you kill the monsters so you can't finish the map. They just keep spawning and the monstercount stays at 80. A few times it dipped below 80 but then returned.

On the same note the map would be MUCH better if monsters didnt spawn out of thin air. This happens alot in this map. So much that you can stand in one place and spawn kill them. Its realy lame when they spawn out of thin air. Takes away from the realism. They need to come from doorways or somewhere where the player cant quite see. It would be no trouble to add some dark halways for the monsters to enter through. The room with the zigzag ice path it fine though because there are what look like teleporters they are comeing through. But agian they keep spawning with no end?

The other thing i noticed is there is a problem when you respawn. Each time I died i would respawn in a diferent place. This is bad. Sometimes I would respawn ahead of where I had reached. First time I died was in a curvy hallway. I respawned after the halway in a room with a titian. Next I respawned in a room with a queen. Back tracking I finaly realised where I was , but it was annoying and confuseing.

Visualy and structurally the map is AWSOME! I realy like the falling snow cutting down on visibility. The long ventilation shaft paths are great! The map as a whole is very well put together , with interesting things to see in every room. Very nice textures and use of meshes.:D

Once the problems get fixed I would love to host this map on my server.

I've just played some Unreal. Meaning the Single player game maps.
I haven't been there in 5 months

The thing is, it didn't hurt. *me sighs* I was getting sick and tired of seeing them. Taking a break was necessary.

Anyway, I didn't play them in sp or co-op.

Here's what I did:

- I loaded the maps in Monsterhunt!
- Played with 9 bots!
- And the UTmonster coop mutator ->
- I selected the Skaarjberserker model.

It was kind off fun. Lots of telefrags, though, but I didn't mind heh. Not today.

Start map was spirevillage. The final level was velora.

Here's how the godlike bots performed:

1) Spirevillage:

Nice work here. They make mince meat out of the monsters. But what do you expect, with all the open space? If you ask them to cover you, it won't take that much effort leading them to the upper part of the level.

They've totally pwned the megatitan. Poor thing didn't know what to do.

2) Sunspire: They managed to fight their way to the central room.
Once I got the teleporter near the start passage activated, some made it upstairs. They followed me through the water passage, but couldn't get out. shame.

3) Skycaves: They did fine here as well. Some felt a bit suicidal, but otherwise no complaints.

4) Skytown: Again, a good job delivered by the bots. Although they really wanted me to open a particular door. The one which hides a skaarjtrooper with biorifle, you know which room I'm refering to.

Once I made it and pushed the lever to open the gate, they charged the krall forces and pulverized them.

They are overly fond of getting the megahealth.

I asked them nicely to cover my ugly scare bottom, and lead them to the final area (two skaarjtroopers). Total pwnage.

5) Skybase: Bit difficult. It's hard to make the bots follow you, you need to be patient. I wasn't this time, so I ended up with having one bot chasing me in the church.
It pwned the skaarjberserkers. (3)

6) Velora pass: Some got pwned by the stonetitan. But the behemoths were no match for them.

It's a weird way of playing Unreal, to some, I guess. It was lots of fun.

About respawn points ploblem, it is completely my mistake.
I forgot to display messages like "2nd respawn point available",
so it is very confusing, sry.
I'll fix it by adding such messages.

By the way, you respawned ahead of where you had reached ?
Respawnpoint must be gradually advanced as you go advance.
( you must respawn where you had already reached )
So fatal error seems to be occurred. I'll check it.

Too many monsters are put for 4-8 players coop playing.
So it is very difficult to complete this map alone.
Monsters appear in a stream, but they don't appear forever.
For example, monsters in a zigzag ice path room is set to appear about 30times.
So you can eliminate monsters if you hope, but it'll be a waste of time...sry :(

Shall I make a SinglePlayerVersion ?
( with decreasing amount of monsters )

no need to make a single player version ( all servers have utj or similar mod running around ) , apart if you want to do a single player pack with the maps that follow this one . ( sounds like a good idea ! )

Yeah i agree, It is an awsome map. Please make some more!!
Check out that the counter is working though cause I sat there for a while killing monsters and the number "in left bottom corner" wasn't going down.

could you explain further? Sounds fun. What mute where you useing?

Monster Coop allows you to play as any Unreal monster and use their native attacks and defenses. For instance, if you're a Queen, you can fire salvoes of Skaarj projectiles and teleport around (you go into ghost mode to pick your destination). Of course, as a Queen you're too big to fit most places too.

Most fun to play,imho, are the following creatures:

- Iceskaarj
- Skaarjberserker (you might get stuck in certain places, but just use ghost)
- Horsefly!!! Guess why
- Skaarjtrooper of course.
- Warlord (But you'll have a hell of time fighting those annoying gasbags)

Titan is as you know, slow.. migth be fun if you're willing to obliterate dozens of poor nali ...

I was just fooling around, tbh ;-)

I've just tried it with ONP, but it's not what I'd call fun...
Most reasonable level to start is 20, I guess.

I guess it would be fun if there'd be a deatmatch/team deatmatch mode for a mutator which could make you and the bots play as a monster.
And use the monster attacks.
Say you could select the type of monsters you'd want.
For bigger maps you might want to include warlords, titans and queens.
For smaller ones the scare, krall and mercs etc...

Make the monsters behave as the bots. That'd be interesting.

But there's always monstermadness I guess...
