And yes cliffs is nice, but we need a review! NeoNite has done a couple great reviews already in this thread. Check them out. Thats what this thread is about. I think it is time to rejuvenate this thread. I think it is time to take some screen shots to. I think maybe we need some audience participation. :lol:

Yep, that's what the thread is for: Monsterhunt discussion. Be it chats about past games, nice people you've met in the UT MH universe (so to speak), talk about maps - review or/and recommend them etc.

Post some action screenshots perhaps!

Any problems/issues joining a game/some map bugs etc.

Carifle, isn't that an upak pawn ? Where is that carifle located again? Been a while I've played this map. (mostly the zephon version). Does the game always crash when you pick up the weapon?

It would also be a good idea geting in contact with Derdak2rot and see if he can help you out?

And check your unrealtournament.log file, copy/paste the moment the crash occurs.

yes its from upak.but derd compiled a mutatorpack within the xidia skaarj and some
other stuff.also the car-rifle is in that pack.its the modyfied xidia version i guess.
yes in heavy in-fights it nearly allways crashes.i dont use this weapon now since a wile when i play hellfire.good idea with the log-thing.:)

arf , yeah , i heard about that problem before , but cant find a way to point where is the problem , i guess its something in the code and unfortunatly i have no knowledge in that :( .. are you running UT with olskool always off ? maybe let it enabled , i believe the CAR code needs some olskool reference to works .. thats how i play it , and never had crash problems

if you have also a log file or error description , please let me know and send it to me that i can check whats going on .. ;)

The only 3 problems I can think of are as followed:

- Crash when picking up a weapon** I remember a map that Mr_X remade to MH and had some of the AX weapons in it. Whenever I picked up one of those weapons which was carried by a ScriptedPawn before, I would crash right away. I believe it was some really bad ClientSide code in those weapons, since they've always been glitchy Online. I doubt that would be your case since it is only happening to you and not anyone else.

- Crash when switching to a weapon** This case could be a video driver problem with the weapon skin. It cannot be the mesh because I doubt it overloads the mesh polycount since it has the proper amount of polies as the other UT weapons.

-Crash when using a weapon bind** This case could be a weapon priority problem or a weapon bind. This happens a lot on custom weapons and there are even cases that a bad weapon bind can crash the whole server.

I only played with one person that crashed because of that weapon but he wasnt able to describe what he did when it happened. So far, it has never happened to me or any of the regulars I play with.

good point there neo.i got an important bug/problem.
on every server i played my ut crashes in my fav.map mh-hellfire.
and i noticed: it happens when i use the car-rifle.why that?
any ideas someone?

ahh ! so iam not the only one allthough i have with every weapon, when i start that map, first i see the big red crack in the earth then when its gonna start just out off spec mod, it crashes and i get a scripterror screen vertically same hight as my own monitor lol

iam gonna post a screen when i get home :)

When i say new maps i mean ones that have not been represented in this thread. In that sense there are lots of new maps.

The newer maps have all been released by far more experienced mappers than the years before.

Mappers like Derdak2Rot Cardiologist XYZ8000 and Nr2000
I also remember you were working on a few K?

Speaking of which.. What happened to the forum you used to post the progress on?

All of those mappers are top notch. :tup:
My map is still dormant. I need to put time into finishing it. It is half way done and looking nice.

The MHM Forum is down right now but will be back soon. Hermskii is changing over to a new system.

Badstreak is the best one I know but it doesnt have a couple of those maps you mentioned. But anyways, its the only server I like because noone shows up most of the time and the ones that do show are very friendly.

I used to love playing the TGES maps. Well, not at first. But 3 thaught me how to enjoy them I guess. We had a good team playing. And they were challenging maps.

And also kittara, barrier, gekokojou and a few others I can't remember right now :/

From the included maps I'd have to select canyon and lonely. Never really cared for the others.

And as for the sp/coop map conversions, I prefer the originals.

neo...the maps i listed ,exept barrier for birdbrain ,will be the maps for the upcoming mh-event.
no bunny tracks.just like sp.is that ok ?

Well, there better be many people playing for "Lost in time". Last time I participated in it, there were at least 8 and it took us ... oh an hour to finish the map :p

It's huge! And those dinos can really taking a beating. But hey, it was fun.

Is there a way for the weapon ammo to automatically replenish ? Would be great. (at a slow but doable rate)
