¯\(˚_o)/¯ I DUNNO?
That angel probably has something to do with when Max Payne gets high like in the game.

Just thinking about this, Max Payne 2 occasionally has areas with TV's playing Address Unknown, where John Mirror makes constant reference to 'the flesh of fallen angels' (John Mirror is a murderer who haunts the main character of the show, and causes him to be blamed for countless murders.
In the end it turns out that John Mirror is just the main character's reflection, and that he is schizophrenic).

There are signs of Max being constantly haunted throughout the game by the amount of killing he has done
(He calls an escort service and asks for Mona, he confesses to her that he thought 'killing them all' would make things better).
Some of his dreams even suggest he feels directly responsible for the death of his wife and baby. Now this talk in the trailer about Valkyries rewarding the fallen men on the battlefield sort of brings it back to the flesh of fallen angels stuff.

I like the look of it, but I naturally expect it to be not that much like the games, this is just like most game-movies of course (Super Mario Brothers!). I don't, however like the look of some of the casting. Is that bald guy with the knife supposed to be Vladimir?

In the first game you heard a lot of "flesh form fallen angels," moslty form Jack Lupino.

But after reading the draft script, it deals very little with Vladimir, which could lead to problems if they decide to make a second.

I've never played the game, so i obviously have a different view of things.

The trailer looks awesome to me though...

Very dark; love the look.

I'll be going to see this for sure.

Mark Wahlberg seems like a pretty good choice imo.

I'm with Airmoran though. A movie that's based on a game that's based on lots of cheesy movies? Uhhh... ok. About the most unoriginal premise you can imagine. It smells like a cash-in, and those tend to be garbage.

The game I don't think was very "cheesy." It just had its own unique way of telling a story with bits of comedy and lots of metaphors. And I mean lots of metaphors.
