In the cinematic source maps, I guess there was not included malcolm's model either right? Heard some sources were missing there but they could be loaded in editor, you know these downloadable ones.

I´m not sure if I understand your question.
The only thing included in UT3 were the textures...I also checked those cinematic files back then but they didn´t contain any models.

I have no Idea, I never worked with maya before. :)

Basically you can figure out every program on your own.
They usually include enough tutorials to cover the basics and the more advanced stuff with the program.
