Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I was adopted too, and so was my brother. We were from seperate parents, and he was my best friend.
He died when I was 16.
Shortly before he died, we met HIS birthmother. It was one of the coolest experiences.

I don't know what I would do if I found out I had a sister. Well, another one, that I didn't know about up until now. It'd be interesting.
I'd say you should meet her, and encourage a healthy relationship, because you never know when you might need a kidney, and you can never have too many kidneys lined up if you ask me.

This is really cool news. You're probably just trying to be all stoic and whatever until you can really absorb the information, but yeah. If you're going to meet the girl, first call Oprah so you can get some cash out of the deal.
I didn't find out until my Grandfather's death (Dad's side) that my family is bigger than I thought. There was some really stupid feud between my Grandfather and his 2 brothers when my Dad was still a kid, so they never saw each other, or apparently even spoke about each other, for like 40 years. And then my Grandfather died, and it was too late to reconnect. Do you see where I'm going here? Years from now, don't regret never having even tried to connect with this family because you maybe feel hurt or pissed off they gave you up or whatever.

I wouldn't call my last name "common", and I'm always getting asked around here (Des Moines) if I'm related to so-and-so. I could always say, "No, my family's from back east.", but really...I dunno. Really weird story: Last year I called Ford to set up an oil change for The Wife's Freestyle. The service manager tells me to hold on and gives the phone to a mechanic, who asks if I have a brother named Mike. Yes. Did you guys graduate from Hoover in '88 and '89? No, we graduated from Millard North in Omaha in '87 and '88. How freakin' weird is that?!? Two sets of brothers with the same first and last names, and only 1 yr apart in ages.
