Let me rant about your loadout!

Whats everyone's loadout? I always enjoy evaluating loadouts, even though I have no qualifications other than playing Inf 4 hours every day. And remember this is just my biased opinion.

Feel free to complain! And feel free to say mine sucks!

My loadout:

Desert Eagle Magazine (2)
Desert Eagle Mark XIX
Ka-Bar Combat Knife
M16A2 (Colt Rifle)
M16A2 ACOG Scope Attachment
M16A2 Ammo (STANAG 4179 Magazine) (2)
M16A2 M203 40mm Grenade (2)
M16A2 M203 Grenade Launcher Attachment

Total Bulk: 36 lbs
Total Price: $3185

Its probably the heavist loadout anyone uses...but I like it since I can handle any situation at any range, and its fine if I'm smart with sprinting. Turning off auto reload is a must though.

Some stupid loadouts:

1. M16 w/ACOG and Robar
2. AKSMU and P90
3. HK69-A1 and anything
4. PSG1 and anything
5. M16 or SIG without ACOG

Some stupid pieces of equiptment:

1. SIG laser
2. P90 silencer
3. Ka-bar (stupid mandatory weapon)
4. Flashlights

ACOG + M203 = bad
As long as you don't use the M203 through the ACOG and the SIG or M16 without ACOG don't suck. They are assault weapons, not sniper rifles. Plus aiming with the iron sight is easier IMHO anyway. I usually use an AKSMU anyway.

As for mine, well my loadouts are the same for each weapon

Rifle, 3 magazines
Sidearm, 2 magazines
2 Grenades
Ka-bar

I don't like over 30 bulk, so I try to keep under

How are you gonna hit a guy from 100 yards without an acog?
the problem people have with it is they cant fight well at close range. once you learn to hip you are effective at any distance.
and i have no idea why ppl dont like the m203. grenades are wayy to easy to dodge now, but its impossible to dodge a 40mm.

if you wanna go one on one sometime to see how effective a hipped m16 is leave a msg on the hsma or phd forums sincei check those alot

No-one is saying that taking an ACOG or M203 is bad, taking an ACOG and an M203 is bad

An age old arguement. I see no point in pointing out peoples "crappy" loadouts. I hate certain loadouts, and other poeple hate other loadouts. It's all personal opinion, and what your good at. You say you can't hit anything at 100 yards without a scope, thats because you use a scope, and cant imagine not using one. I got sick of the scope for my own reasons, and now I'm really good without it. I'm hitting people at 200 yards with a handgun. It just doesnt matter. If you practice with it, you'll get good at it. Use whatever your comfortable with.

You said feel free to "complain". I guess you wanted me to say how great your loadout is, or something like that. Whatever. I'm sick of people complaining about loadouts. If somebody dies by a weapon that they don't use, that weapon sucks, and everybody who uses it. So there's no safe loadout. No matter what you use, somebody will call you a [weapon you use] whore.

Realism hits quite close to home, doesn't it?

And yes, you can, very easily, adapt to iron sights to the point where you are nearly (if not as) effective as another player with an ACOG. Just match up that 1x2 pixel up to your front sight post and adjust for range....

About 80% of the time, I use my 1). load-out. As far as hitting anything w/o a ACOG: I have no problem hitting targets at 100+ yards with my '16. I once took a sprinting target down with two well placed semi-auto rounds from about 100 yards. I play INF in a manner which challenges me to improve my skill. I avoid taking the easy way out of anything. That is why I rarely use my number 2). loadout....ever. I find that it is too easy for me to dominate with it and I consider it a cop out weapon for me. Sure, some people will say that whatever it takes to get the kills is ok, but consider this: By me challenging myself to use only the open sights on the '16, I am learning to aquire targets more quickly and at longer ranges. As far as cqb: You will often find that if you wanna rush me firing full auto, I will take that extra two seconds to aim and take you down with a single 3 round burst. Your only hope in that situation is to pray that one of your randomly fired rounds miraculously takes me down before I get you in my sights. BTW: I usually win those duels. You only get better if you challenge yourself.

Well, I`m a newbie, and I find that most often I get gunned
down by the Roadrunner-o-Death before I manage to press
the fire button. Only way I can kill the rushers is by standing
somewhere they don`t look and shoot them in the back
Or top of the head on some maps.

I`m using two different loadouts now, that seem to work.
Only reason for keeping the pistol there is that I once put
down a knife man with it, he knew I was out of ammo and
would have to reload so he charged. Blam!

1) M16, 3 clips, no finery
M9, 2 clips
4 grenades
K-bar

2) MP5, 3 clips, silencer
M9, 2 clips
4 grenades
K-bar

Good enough for now, although heat-seeking bullets would
be nice. Perhaps ACME has some foe sale? Meep Meep!
