INF-mod to Battlefield-games!

    Another idea (which would require more tweaking to the current system):

    - Attackers have a number of heavily armored troop transport trucks at their 'original spawn'
    - each truck is worth a certain number of respawns (representing the passangers) which can be assigned by the attackers
    - trucks can be easily destroyed by some sort of 'one shot antitank' weapon which is pretty heavy and available at defenders spawn. carrying anything beyond a pistol as sidearm is impossible
    - trucks can be destroyed (lot more difficult) by regular weapons (i.e. several nades or robar hits)
    - trucks have a mounted machine gun or alike and are freely maneuverable
    - Attackers respawn in truck is instant, defenders spawn with delay close to laptop

    This would offer a lot more different tactics than any current EAS map. Now you basically chose the route of the team, maybe teamsplitup, sometimes sequence of objectives and defending spots for defenders.

    In my idea the trucks would really be a key factor. The Defenders could try to destroy all the trucks (and win thereby) instead of beeing completly passive. The Attackers could try to use the trucks one by one or simultaniously or decide to leave them behind (in their autosniper defended base) and do everything by foot. Attackers could try to start a distraction attack with empty trucks and rely on a sneaker to capture the cd aso...

    Maybe I get carried away but it would really be a step further in mission complexity IMO. Sure its not gonna happen in 2.9 and yeah it would probably take a hell of a lot more tweaking/testing for the mapdesigner.

    EDIT: And if people don't like it (which I dare to doubt) they can just stick to other maps with pure Infantry setup.

    i know i shouldn't be telling this, but inf 3.0 will propably be a recreation of interstate76 using the doom3 engine, because '82 sucked donkey balls. :con:

    I believe it's called Experience World War2. Nothing spectacular in the way of realism. It's just tweaked values. they're trying to get iron sights in there but they just can't seem to get the weapon to move all the way up. as of now it goes from hip to at the ready with a crosshair. It's a start. But not a very promising one. from what I read, due to SDK lmitation, they couldn't really go anywhere except where every other BF mod has gone before but I still keep an eye on it. I'd post al ink but my break is ending so just search the title on google or XWW2 and you'll find it.
