Quite possibly. The article I referred to mentioned both, but it's not really getting into details. I guess you'd have to read the book for that. Testing in caves dug by prisoners was mentioned, also that a large number of prisoners were killed in a test. I think the main point speaking for the theory that Hitler was testing A-bombs there was that most of the population of a nearby village delivered consistent accounts of what they witnessed after the war.

IIRC*, they also had a prototype stealth fighter that was destroyed (while hangered) by the Allies.
