I wish i could be part of the team but it takes me forever to make a map and it usually takes me along time to get started... If you notice SunGod has about 4 Static Meshes and it's pretty plain and simple and Red Tower is just Face with the Blue Tower Deleted. I'm trying to gain more experience with the Editor...

If it's cool with you guys i would love to release them as part of the Bonus Pack... What's the forum you want me to register on?

Well you should be happy cause i have NO experience whatsoever. All i know is how to add static meshes and a boring square room. No knowledge on terrains (which i want to learn how to make) or anything else. Might be the 13 year-old lack of knowing of all the stuff cause im only 13...

Yeah i don't know Terrain's either... and it's hard to picture a map with no staqtic meshes, like when building it. and when you build it it's hard to picture where the static meshes are going to go and often is hard to build something based on static meshes that aren't even there yet

To get more of what i mean open a default UT map like Deck17 and select all static mesh actors and delete them. Then look around and you can see how hard it must have been to startegically place all of those static meshes.

Obviously when you exit the editor you DO NOT save changes to the map

More members = more maps.
Mapping does take time yeah, but we don't have set a ETA for the BP, so don't you worry (yet? )
You can sign up @ my forum using the link in my signature.

Also, we can learn you how to use the terrain editor, it's very fun and easy to use once you understand it. :)

Hm..sorry, but don't have a clue.. we're basicly just started. But is it fair enough if i say "this summer"? It's a bit early to tell, we don't want to get our asses pushed because of a deadline..

OK, first tings first; I'd say we'd have about 2 months after the release of v3, what would be in total a good 3 months from now, so pressure is low.
Terrain is easy yes, once you get the hang of it
And click here for a bunch of tutorials. No 3DBuzz, I know, but those take forever to download, plus there's a whole lotta links to go through before you can find anything; not recommended. For questions you can always drop by any forum. And then on with the maps.
Well, what is there to say? Haven't seen them, can't really tel how good they are, although screens look promising.

Xzen, you can post the links in the "test center" thread i put there on my forum. :)

About the terrain, everyone does do it on his / her way.. written tutorials, video training.. whatever. Although Ronin does not recommend 3dbuzz.. i do. It just takes you 4 clicks to get into the Unreal Technology page and to all the downloads. (once registered for free)
Why i do recommend it? Well, those guys are showing it "live" on how to create the terrain and what you should keep in mind / pay attention on. Not only that, they explain it in a very detailed and understandable way. I have seen tutorials which were not as half of detailed as being told in the vtm.
If you do download them, you can find them at Issue 5 on the Unreal Technology page.
They go through (7 lessons);

- Introduction
- Terrain creation
- Editing
- Layers
- Building into Terrain
- Deco Layers
- Terrain Properties

Total: 1h 19 min.
Total size: 187 mb
(divx 5.0x required)

If you have broadband, this should not be of a problem..
Anyway, have your pick, your free to do it on your way. :)

Note: This is just my opinion and what i would do if i was you. Im not saying you HAVE to download them.. :)
