EA isn't publishing it, they have nothing to do with the demo. It's self published through EA Partners. The decision came from Epic.

If it was on Epic's side, then it wasn't a decision. Remember Mark Rein's tweet?

    ...Well actually.... never mind...

You could have thousands of people do that and it wouldn't change their mind. Neither will the amount of piracy because people hate dumb DRM and not being able to test it. But you can't expect such a company to learn.

    I can still want.

lol its about time someone stuck it to COD. Must be hard to take PC gamers seriously when that S*** sells bucketload. I think I would actually enjoy a full length version of duty calls better. Least it would make me laugh, rather than boring me to tears.
Damn funny though, congrats to those involved, nice lil marketing stunt ;)

Played through this last night before going to bed. Very amusing and a good piece of the advertising campaign. Hopefully if there's enough downloads / views on the walkthrough video and trailer it'll convince Epic/PCF/EA to push a Bulletstorm PC demo out before launch.

Indirectly, yes it was EA's decision. From what I heard, the company responsible for porting it to PC never added a DLC pipeline and that wasn't a problem with EA/Visceral. Which, to be honest, is really funny given the amount of talking about DLC and digital sales they've been doing lately.

Shader model 3 was introduced quite some time ago (Geforce 6 / X1000 series). It's time for an upgrade.

I have X1200 yet it claims that and I had UT3 installed. Not anymore though, but this doesn't run really. I guess it uses the latest UDK engine anyway, that is maybe why.

It's running on UDK based on the directory tree.

Is this the chipset you're using? It only supports Shader Model 2

EDIT: I don't think UT3 used Shader Model 3. Min. specs list the Radeon 9600 and GeForce 6200.

I find the parody to be on spot all the way through. But then I think COD sucks and I refer to it as call 'o doody. Marketing wise it will grab people's attention for certain and get them talking. The question is will the buzz turn into increased revenue.
