Yeah
Can't wait for some 16 players Coop mode in SS3 BFE.
I know the first two games had it. Have they confirmed it for SS3?

Edit: oh yea! from the Steam Store page:

Play through the full campaign mode with up to 16 players or drop the gauntlet and let the heavy ordinance fly in versus modes like Deathmatch and Beast Hunt. This is the next level of Serious Sam multiplayer and all hell is about to break loose.

Thank god for Croteam.

Serious Sam 2 also had it but was extremely laggy. I hope it isn't the case with SS3. Also I am assuming BFE stands for Before Next Encounter. Why couldn't it had stood for Big F##king Encounter :(

And another thing, it is pretty much guaranteed Mental won't be shown since it is set before the first game. Goddamn you Croteam!!!

Oh and one more thing. Seeing as how the other games had a joke towards the Duke himself, I wonder how they will handle it this time? Would or would it not be awesome if Mental himself turned out to be Duke Nukem :D

First review is out at IGN. A whopping 5.5.

Not surprised in any way since the demo was kinda broken. Won't deter me from getting it. It's Duke for crying out loud.

Joystiq gave it a 4. Although the current reviews are mostly about the Xbox360 version. PC version is going better.
No buy for me anyway.

Just finished DNF. And I had a lot of fun and liked the game. It also had a proper length of 10 hours or so (unlike most FPS games these days). It's a fun and classic-style FPS game (with the exception of health regeneration and 2 weapon limitation).
I haven't played the Demo, so I don't know how representative it is for the game. If it's the first few levels of the game, then it isn't really representative as there is quite some variation in the game.
Sure, the graphics of the game are quite dated, but so what. (Also, I played the PC version; consoles are shit for FPS anyway).

ps, the SP game has about 34 map files, although some "maps" are rather short. So, the 15maps from DLC 3 would probably be around 33 to 40% of the game.

The Joystick guy first claims that the 90's humor is too childish then says that Bulletstorm is the true successor to Duke Nukem 3D. Wtflol? I guess to him Dick jokes are better than Duke jokes.

Oh, I didn't get the memo that I could only like either Bulletstorm or DNF.

Well... screw that memo, I like both games.

He who claims Bulletstorm is a true successor to Duke Nukem 3D is a fool. Bulletstorm is a completely different kind of FPS.

Yes. Like that.
But also the final battle is a single map, which is a single arena. (Note, this was the same in DN3D, which had something 28 maps, of which 5 are secret (no secret maps in DNF though))

I am with you on this. I found it better than Bulletstorm though.

But the multiplayer needs to be fixed, it has too many technical issues and is lacking a proper game browser.

Which one of the recent and upcoming FPS games is a classic shooter?

Classic/Traditional Shooter Requirements:

-No Cover (see fast movement speed)
-Hard mode = more enemies on the field, not tougher enemies
-Big boss fights
-Unrealistic weapons (more importantly, no iron sights)
-Fast movement speed
-Puzzles

Painkiller is a great example of this. From what I played in the DNF demo, it failed in a few of these accounts.

From the bulletstorm demo I found it was all about stringing people to grates and not about actually firing bullets. Their were hardly any enemies, and there was lots of cover. I never felt like I could actually have any fun blowing up stuff. It was 'wait, before you blow him up, why not kick him backwards then string him closer again into that grate'.
