Custom Species

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. PS if you're into Matrix you should have a look at my original Dmitri (not the 2k5 one). A lot of ppl thought it had a Matrix look to it :tup:

Hopefully I didn't make a b@lls of it. I tested it and it worked fine. I'd assume the taunt animations are the way you want. One thing I would do if you're using it is to go online with it and try connecting to AntiTCC servers (shouldn't be a problem) and ones using SafeGame (may be a problem). Before doing so, make sure the server is running either v3339 / v3355 :tup:

looking good so far :2thumb: that`s great, the only thing is that they can`t be chosen in SinglePlayer any more

Oh forgot to mention that - there's always a downside. You could always make 2 upls one with the species and one without / only make certain characters with that species ;)

Custom species code can allow alot of unique features onto your character you cant normally get ingame. For example in my U2skaarj, and HaloUT models I have coded them to have custom blood decals, and gib meshes. Also some of the creatures in the HaloUT mod have explosion effects if certain bones in the model are hit, as well as spawning of other pawns from one main model(the infection forms).
Also I have attached custom emitters to certain bones on models, like my SweetTooth model which has flames on its head. So its more than just changing species statistics and making them jump higher, you can add nifty effects to your model so it stands out from the crowd of other models on the net.

EE you've hit it on the nose... I'm currently working on a pack (now and then) and one character I wanted to do like Johnny Storm (Human Torch) in Fantastic Four. I'd been playng with the idea of having flames attached to different bones and giving him regen abilities - stuff like that. It's just taking a while to figure everything out.

It's been a long time since I saw your SweetTooth model (wasn't that for 2k3?) but if you managed it with that at least I know it can be done. I sure wish more people would get into extra coding for new characters as it certainly improves on what's already out there. Noone can ever criticize you for your custom gibs either :lol: excellent!
