CTF4 for UT2004!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. You can still choose what skin color you want in TDM4 and CTF4, as well as all other X4 Gametypes we'll be working on in the future. But outside of those, Red and Blue it is.

Oh, I suppose you could always "Force" the skin via INI hacking, but anyone without the skin will see you as Jakob or Tamika, of course. Just like any other custom skin.


I suck at programming but, a mutator maybe?

...But didn't you say the score mode was similar to two-way CTF? If so, how come a team manages to get -1? And what are those dots next to the scoreboard?

(off-topic: does anyone know how to turn off animated sigs? Kantham's sig is really starting to annoy me)

In britain in a small town.
MultiCTF was what people who liked 4 team CTF played because it had more maps and options. Is red dwarf working on this too or did he retire a long time ago (haven't heard anything about him in ages) as he worked on the original CTF4. The INI hacking, could you tell us how in the readme plz as it would make us all a lot happier.

Red dwarf? Wasn't Multiteam-CTF made by Colin McCann?

By default, yes. The options I used were 'Distribution' (Where you must capture a certain amount of each enemy's flag) and Subtraction (If your flag gets captured, you lose a point.) So a team manages -1 by having 0 and getting their flag capped. :p

The dots next to the scoreboard show how many of each flag you have to cap in Distribution mode. This changes into a single dot with a small number if you have to capture 5 or more.

He's not to my knowledge. We'd like to see if he's interested in converting CTF-CoretClassic, among other maps, for CTF4 though...

The INI Hacking, not sure how that'd work, it's just a educated guess. :p

I am so Ready for that 4 team mod, thingy. Lets see... Sniper Rifle... Check, Rocket Launher... Check, Flak Cannon... Check. Lots of stock bought up in Band Aid and Liandri Respawn devices... Check, I think that should do it... Oh yeah, gotta buy up stock in Weapons and Ammo companies.

Just a small bit of info here: The Date of the Mod's release has been pushed back a few days, to November 19th. The reasons for this are twofold:

1) There's a feature or two we could tweak a bit/implement, and we'd like to do that, and

2) The MSUC Contest winners are announced that day, and we don't want our thunder stolen. :p

That means 11 more days until CTF4.

It's coming... are you up to the challenge?

I also always thought Multi-CTF and CTF4 were the same thing. A question.

About how large will the file size be?

It used to be so fun when I played Multi-CTF, it willl be well worth the conversion. There are quite a few others on the Multi-CTF website, but at the moment can't remember the good from the bad.

Good work recreating this awesome Mod. You have given me something else to look forward to besides my Maths exam on the 23rd :)

Oh and one more thing, someone should sticky this thread and Dark Pulse, you should link your sig to it :). It will jsut make the whole process of finding this, (took me at least 2 hours :] ) far faster.
