Found this rather interesting interview with Grant Collier on CoD4.

From what I have read he is no longer at IW. Wonder if he didn't like the direction MW2 was going and jumped ship. I wouldn't doubt it myself, as he sounds like he knows what makes a pc game good.

Activision reassigned him. He was the one pushing for free map packs on all three platforms, too. :(

I'm going back to plattsburgh where my desktop lives. I get to play mw2 again yayz!

Is there any point in going prestige gameplay wise? I suppose there isnt. I'm only level 16 or something atm.

Prestige gives you one extra custom slot for each prestige round. I think there's a total of 9. They expect you to start over 9 ****ing times! :)

No.

You loose everything but Titles and Emblems. yay. Every odd prestige is a new custom class slot.

It's pointless, unless all you do is use the weapons and perks you get at low levels.

Prestige is worth it if you need a few more custom class slots. I need about 2 or 3 extra slots and I've already got 1 extra. You might ask why not just change a custom class to fit the map you are about to go onto but that doesn't work when the game throws you into an already started game.

Honestly, you should be able to create as many classes as you want and only have 5 active per match. Then you could pre-build a bunch of kits, then select the ones you're likely to need for a given map or gametype.

That would be great. It would also be the markings of a good game, something that required some thought from the developers, and we know IW can't do that. Well, at least that IW can't do that as Activision puppeteers them.

I have all 5 classes, but use only those, they all get used depending on the map/situation.

UMP45 w/Silencer + M1014 w/Grip - Marathon/Lightweight/Steady Aim - all pro

AK-47 w/Extended Mags + M1014 w/Grip - Marathon/Stopping Power/Ninja - all pro

AUG HBAR w/Grip + Stinger - Scavenger/Cold Blooded/Steady Aim - all pro

Intervention w/FMJ + M93 Raffica w/Extended Mags - Slight of Hand/Stopping Power/Steady Aim - all pro

UMP45 w/Silencer + Magnum .44 w/Tactical Knife - Marathon/Lightweight/Commando - all pro

Mainly ill use my AK-47 or Intervention, if my team starts loosing ill usually whore the AK, the UMP usually gets used if i want to shotgun whore. The Uzi class is my run in and spray class, or run in and knife. And the AUG and Stinger is there for anti-air.

Don't need any more classes at all :D
