Why cut them from the game and then have it in the final release? Would be stupid, no?

If it was supposed to be DLC IW are seriously ****ed up.

It's funny because people forget that Capcom sold SFIV players costumes that were already on the disc when it shipped, because they were already in the game before it got ported to home consoles.

People just never learn. Game companies these days aren't here to provide you with quality entertainment, they're here to wring money from you with as little effort as possible.

Don't forget they did this to RE5 as well. The multiplayer was already on disc, but sold as an addon. What was their answer? Basically saying it made the gameplay too different and that justified the price.

The joys of P2P just keeps on giving:

The IW forums are alight with news that IW.Net is beeing used to spread Trojans, especially one called "TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen" seems very common at the moment.

If this came as a suprice to anyone, please punish yourself in some appropriate manner for your naiveté, to play online you basically have to cripple your Router's defenses, it was only a matter of time before someone got wise to this, and decided to exploit it.

A lot of people have said it to be a false positive. I still want them to rely on dedicated server already.

And people keep on talking about possible lawsuit.
Personally I can only hope they are trying to actually get ****ing common sense already.

And yet people keep buying the games and supporting these idiotic practices.
This only works in French, but CON-sumers.

I've never played Call of Duty, except the first one that came out at the Xbox360's launch, and on a demo unit too. If I'm reading this whole thing correctly, Call of Duty 4 basically has everything MW2 has, and more.

Why did people by MW2? Especially: why did people who complained about the lack of this or that in MW2 compared to COD4 buy MW2?

CON-sumers.

Sure thing, and I respect that :)

I think here I'm addressing more this remark to those who cry about the lack of this and that in MW2 but bought it anyways.
And also to the people who cry about DLC that is already sold with the game but unlocked after, but still buy games from companies that use this practise.

;)

This is most likely a false positive. The detection is based on heuristics and Avira is the only anti-virus program detecting it.

Because we're IW's slaves!!!

Nah. I just missed the online play a bit, I figured MW2 would keep myself occupied for a while. Even though the game has some really dumb perk/attachments, it can be a really fun experience overall. I don't think they deserve the money, but I had quite a few extra bucks sitting sooo I went ahead and bought it.

Like the young & naive, whatever.
Still am on-fence regretting buying the game.

Why exactly?

-IW's lack of support since the game release
-Trojans now apparently showing up in that stinky P2P
-People who torrented the game might eventually be able to just play the game for a long run.

I can tell you. That if they get dedicated servers up, most of the perks need to GTFO, as they are matchmaking exclusive, and meant to fit the default settings (Kill/Time limit)

Also, I never was a boycotter - I was skeptical, and I did sign the petition before I bought the game. As I assume we all know, petitions and boycotting are 2 different word.

Eventually I convinced myself to buy it after a few BUF'er told me the game wasn't all that terrible. And they weren't wrong, somehow. At least, so far.

Who knows how it's going to be when everyone finds a easy trick to get to the chopper gunner perk, and the game is exploited, also by the ****ing stupid matchmaking system, which really belongs to consoles.

Also, the spawn system is really weird in MW2. I hope someone can quote me on this one.

I've been having many cases where I was solo'ing someone, or walking behind, then someone suddently poped the **** up behind me (crates, wall, objects) and 3 steps later, I was in their line of sight ready for a free death. Sometims it's just completely behind me out of cover.

It's incredibly annoying, I tend to watch kill cams a lot, so I noticed that.

It could've been the tactical insertion.

I, er, only played the single player... And it blew, as a whole.

-Gameplay? A joke. Still the same scripted CoD formula (not inherently bad), complete with infinite respawn in pretty much every scene, but now enemies come with the brand new innovative feature of spawning behind you!!! How cool is that?! Plus, environments have now been specifically designed to funnel you into a giant cluster**** nexus where 15 enemies are shooting at you (not your teammates) simultaneously from separate hidden sniping spots.

-Visuals: the same. Some eye-pleasing scenery, but you can't really tell when you're spaztically running and dodging and FLAILING for your life.

-Audio: the guns sound like peashooters. That someone is farting into.

-Story: Joketacular.

-Presentation/Cinematic(ness): I actually laughed repeatedly at some of the incredibly cliched and contrived slow...no, BAY-mo segments. Even Rainbow Six 3 did door breaching better.

Ugh.
