Cheat Protection?

Well yah...I've always wanted to edit Mantik's posts myself, what's it feel like? Is it as wonderful as I think?

A-and I would like to have discussed the vicious locking of my own thread, but it's too sensitive an issue w/me atm. You know how many threads I start? Next to none! I'm like, crushed over this.

programmed it himself.. for himself. If you've played FPS games longer than just XMP you'd know that cheaters are people who code their own bots and never under any circumstances release them, so it's harder for anti-cheats to pick up on them, and harder for people to know they are actually cheating. LAMERS .

Hallo all, i am new to the forum but been playing XMP for several weeks.

I find this a funny topic because the person who made a cheat then gave it to subvertio is the same person who started this particular topic.

Are we feeling guilty because you were caught.

Plus why are se7en and subvertio making an anti-cheat, is that so cheats they make for themselves will be undetected??????

But yes i do have great concerns about a botter writing anti-cheat protection.

There is huge hypocrisy to having the least trustworthy person doing the thing we all need 2 b able to trust.

well without getting th and dcsb flaming again as last night was a good mess around, but callisto did make the bot for sub which he confirmed to dcsb and even in the dcsb irc channel when angelus was talking to dcsb.

The reason he made it was because he could. Im sure someone has the IRC channel conversation

sub and callisto both confirmed they made it and se7en is callisto

i dont see what the hell everyone is moaning about TBH, and j@ckal m8 we wont start flaming and argueing again dont worry, cos last nite was a laugh, but what i am trying to do is make up for what i have done and help this community by making an anti-cheat, and you guys just blow it out of the air. This anti-cheat code is being looked at by both L0cky AND Jaybo i believe, so even if there was any backdoors that allowed us to cheat, they would see it.

TBH do you honestly think i am that bad ffs? PPL now know that i cheated so ppl watch me like hawks ALL the time, so u think im gonna try and cheat again? LOL i dont think so, it would be running salt in the wound ffs

i think cheat protection would be good, just who makes it.

There is two ways too look at it and that

1) Se7eN can make cheats himself so will he exploit the protection so he knows the cheats he makes works OR 2) as he knows how to make cheats he can give better protection as he knows what to expect.

I dont know much about this and if Jaybo and L0cky are checking it over and if they have a good understanding on how it all works then i think they would be the best people to give feedback on it. They will know if it can be exploited.

I have already said that this cheat protection will be checked out by both l0cky and Jaybo, also EQ2 and Azrael will look at the code if you want, all we are trying to do is help the community to make up for what we have done, just please trust me on this one.
