Hehe, one of my complaints was WAY too few enemies.

When I played the demo that is pretty much the conclusion I came too. No problem with having more enemies rush in wave after wave. They game was trying to go for the entire 'kick ass just like those classic shooters'. Which means they should have put more ass to kick.

it's time to get around a table and discuss what you did wrong.

I also agree with the overall not enough enemies too. some enemies were also "too smart" for a gun & gun & get medieval (cover system...)

I bought the PC version, played through the single player. The game is fun but I don't find enough fun for me to play again and again, which is very different from Gears or UT.
The story is ok, the visual is awesome, the level design is ok, the basic gameplay is solid, so I guess lack of gameplay depth (or at least appears to be) is why people don't really like this game. They talked about it, tried it but didn't buy it.

"Of course, fucking of course!" The game is shit so not many bothered with it. And as far as I can see it reached it's end of life.

I think the problem with too many enemies is that the player could be overrun while trying to execute a skillshot.

What's "bullsh*t" is that he never realized it wasn't that great of a port
"Run at a higher res and 3 more hours of gameplay" doesn't help when the game itself doesn't run for sh*t

I've been enjoying the game and still am more than some other PC titles out there, like say, UT3. But I'm like the rare GOW PC appreciator gem, by "modding" the game.

Enough to say, Mike Capps thinks this and says that, all enough to say they just right down despise PC gaming. Like I said before, this is what happens when you stick to a console, you forget things, like how to make a proper PC game.

I'm not only suggesting Bulletstorm somewhat, "failed" on PC because of how poorly the PC port has been made, but it didn't help the sales, and well, the replayability wasn't as good as the developers initially thought. I'm also going to add: No editor = this game dies. They could have went there, but instead they've tossed us bullsh*t, and I daresay, the worse bullsh*t excuses I've ever heard not to do it.

What I trully dislike about Epic games these days is how they just banish the concept of getting a product they made on the PC, in a proper way. If they ever do it, it will be tossed around in a rushed fashion. All around a few people end up with a working product, while more than half the population won't and it makes the game die like falling flies.

EDIT: It appears the Bulletstorm forums have been nuked from Beyond Unreal. D:
My precious thread that contained a bunch of how-to-solve-this-and-that, I can't find it anymore, just to prove how it could have launched better.

Bah.

I don't mean throw 50 guys into the arena at the same time, I mean once you clear out the room of five or so guys, more rush into the room. Sort of like a stream of pwn. Or you could put about 10-20 guys in the room at the same time but make them have terrible accuracy and increase the player's run speed. Like a classic shooter.

In a way I felt this was also somewhat of a nuisance when I played the demo...in my heart, I wanted to throw a chain grenade and explode 5 guys at once, or simply mow them all down rambo-style. What I found myself doing instead was , grab one, throw into metal mesh, grab another throw into more metal mesh, grab another throw off edge of building..etc. There was a distinct lack of firing my gun.

Bah.

I think Hal missed that, and I definitely asked about the licensed games stuff when they added the Games forum. Hopefully it's not totally lost to the wind (ie. check your post history). There was some good info in the Borderlands forum too.

I would of bought it if it had proper multi-player game modes. But never for $60. Well maybe for a CE with bonus content and/or an editor. As it is, it is a play it once wipe your butt with it and give it to a friend game. Tell them later.

The Bulletstorm forum was merged with the Games forum.

Bleh, I dunno. Offtopic has been good with that, I suppose it will take time getting used to it, but right now it looks like you're trying to split what remains of the community into different groups, which is kinda bad considering how few we are.

Do what huh? We've basically recognized that our community likes to play games, not specific games, and that it's nice to have game discussions separated from religious and political nonsense.
