Brainstorming - JELP 2005

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

You dont have to be 18 to go the a JELP. And its probably best not to bother either with the "have it in Britain" request. ;)

However, for JELP's it is adviseable to be 18 or over, not for JB reasons but for legal reasons associated with travelling. If you're under 18, you have to go through the entire "unaccompanied minors" process before you leave, special check-in desks, special attendants for you, etc, who will probably treat you like a kid with a "do not leave my sight" system. (Cos if you get lost, the airport people have a big problem ;))

The alternative is to bring your parents with you :rolleyes: :lol:

My parents are weird and If it were in britain, and every match had bullet time 3.0, u would see n gen arse beating! If it were france and near calais, I could come though it would be a looong drive from liverpool to dover, through to calais and then to location of LAN party

Well, I jike the idea for JALP, and if I'm lucky, maybe if my dad has one of his every-so-often Business trips to Europe I could maybe join you all. And, I'd be able to get out of the airport attended. However, I don't think it would be smart for an 11 year-old to stay at JELP. If it were near MI, or VA, or not on the west coast of the U.S. at least, Chances would be fair. Otherwise, you all just need to get an internet link to the party.

What about the option of loaning Pc? the first Jelp, Boost + cooldude offered to bring spare PCs incase some of us Brits (or lazy people :biggrin2: ) didnt want to/couldnt bring their own. If there is another offer, i may just take it :)

I'm not saying that it should't be in the Northern part of France, however the biggest problem we have is that we don't have anybody in the neighbourhood there to organize it all.
