Actually, T2A, the fact that the PC version (which includes the DRM) is not on torrents, yet the 360 version (which is unable to have the additional types of DRM PC games can) is, DOES actually validate DRM a bit, because it takes a little while to crack.

Or that nobody along the PC distribution line has leaked it yet :)

Sounds like it has some of the same problems Far Cry 2 has - getting from point a to point b, repetitive quests...

Yes. I am not a fan of open world games for this reason. I love the freedom to go about missions in Crysis and the scope of the ruined wastland of Fallout works very well, but too often I'm forced to locomote myself around a boring landscape when all I REALLY want to do is kill a few people. Instanced missions are our friends, and it's a shame that developers don't seem to get that yet. (I'm looking at you Burnout Paradise. Your open world is great, but having to drive to each race was just a pain in the ass).

Even when I feel that the game is starting to get repetitive, there's something about it that keeps me playing. Even my plans to jump into the game for five minutes to grab screenshots would suddenly turn into hour long play sessions without me even realizing it, and even having done most of the quests twice, I still want to head back and try again with a new character class. Despite a few imperfections, the game is simply fun -- and at the end of the day, that's what really matters.

Sold.

(1) What DRM-format is used exactly ?
Does it require Steam or is there a Steam-free version that does not require on-line activation ?
I don't like DRM as it tends to cause problems for my pc.
(besides ... DRM is not used to hurt piracy, but to generate lots of very interesting statistics for sales&marketing-types ... the piracy-angle is just icing on the cake ... )

(2) Are there ever going to be bots in this game ?
No bots, no game.

(3) And will we get access to the Unreal-editor for this game ?
What's the point of buying a pc-game if there's no editor for mods and maps ?

(4) Is there a chance that there'll be a second release aka 'game of the whatever'-version that includes all DLC ?
Because as much as I'd love to have extra content ... I'd rather get it all as part of a single package.

No bots, no game.
More opinion than questions above :p

And the whole game is agains't bots (bar challenging a RL player to a duel). All the enemies are Ai.

I know there are currently(!) no bots in the game, but why shouldn't we expect other improvements in either patch or DLC-form ?

Hence my questions (and reasons for asking them). :p

I mean ... come on, isn't it about time that bots evolved beyond playing target for humans ?

I got the 4-pack with some friends over the weekend. Unfortunately the 4th person isn't sure if he's in or not. :angst++:

... Isn't this a singleplayer game with a multiplayer option though?

I wouldn't expect coop bots in anything other than a community made patch tbh. The demand just won't be that huge and it'd have a negative impact on the games multiplayer if anything i would've thought.
