Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

The codes had expired an hour before I'd found the tweet, so posting them would have been pointless
Anyway, looks like he's doing at least one more Sunday morning. My guess would be 7-9am window
Missed the code this morning by a good hour but no biggie. I signed up for shift and put a code in and somehow got 5 keys right off the bat last night. Plenty to use in case the first few are crap duds.

yeah now that I've got 5 golden keys, can someone explain how exactly the golden key chest works before I start using them?
I'm gonna' save all of my keys and not open the chest for the first time until my first character is level 50. try to ensure the contents are at their best. but then, what happens after it's opened? does it reset on each new playthrough? even with the same character? or does it only reset after you start an entirely new character/game?
or does it reset every time you leave and reenter Sanctuary?
I just wanna' make sure I'm maximizing what I get from my keys.

It resets after you open it and quit your game. So open, re load your save and then open again.
After you open it and remove it's contents (1 or 2 purple guns normally), it just closes and is ready for another key right away. Once I hit 50, I opened it with all 6 of my keys in one go and basically all the purples it gave me were useless. It's easier just to farm the purples you want from the bosses, that's where I got all the purples I'm still using.
Yup the chest is all talk and hype, I was disappointed.
Another thing, once you hit level 50, do you even want the best level 50 gear? I found that after I hit level 50 I don't really see a point in playing that character anymore since there's nothing to accomplish and no challenge.

A key gets consumed the moment you open the chest, so choose wisely when you want to open it
Items are almost guaranteed to be purple rarity. Once in a while you can get a blue rarity relic and supposedly there's a small chance of getting an orange
Since it's always purples, about the only time it's useful to open the chest is fairly early(lvls 10-20, maybe up to 30) before purples become commonplace
Like Sleepy said, once you get farther in the returns aren't as epic

So turns out there's a "hack" for unlimited keys, no cheat/hacks/exploits needed
In MyDocs\MyGames\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData\(Profile Number) set Profile.bin to ReadOnly
that doesn't work.
or at least it's not supposed to as of the first or second patch.
there was another infinite key hack that could be done by editing your WillowDLC.config, but both of these methods are supposed to have been reversed and "broken" by the latest patches. they should only work if you're still using an unpatched retail (non-Steam) version of the game.
