I was considering reading her latest book, just out of curiousity. I actually have been reading political books from both sides of this tug-of-war lately.

Dont waste your time, Ann Coulter is not respectable, and neither is Red Fist, since they blindly cant think for themselves either.

I recommend William F. Buckley if you're looking for a respectable person on the right wing. It takes a little digging, but finding a true thoughtful intellectual without the pop culture attitude and pandering is worth it.

These days politics is mostly made up of lame brain adult children who constantly whine. "you're wrong, I'm right". Personally, they offend my intelligence. The left is just as bad, my father was listening to some left wing radio station, and there was this guy who talked almost exactly like Rush Limbaugh. And they both come across as stupid.

like another example of how left reacts, hippocreets, remember trent lot, after he said some racial or somthing at that other really old senators funeral, sheeeeet, you think that would slip by.

Then we have old southern Robeert Bird the ol KKK member, then on that news show he called certain people Nig_gers on national news?
Oh polosy and gore and dean would be all over it, but the republicans have more natural commen sense.

Remeber Trent lot stepped down? but bird stays and it is true, left= no tolerance, right = remains fair for all.
"

What are you babbling about??? It's not a matter of anything slipping by. Seriously, anyone who openly uses racial slander is asking for it, whether they are a football coach or president. It's a part of being mannerly in society. You dont burp in public, and you dont call people nig*gers. If you dont get my point, then you need to get a basis education in manners quick. As in, keep your rude thoughts to yourself. The fact is, race is a sensitive issue, and people need to respect that, especially if they are in positions of power.

She started out ok, but then either was offered or then backed by ultra left wing people orgs, wich then became the issue.

Oh and ann coulter is ok, but she does do the bomb throwing, however to snuff her speach is like nazi , they forced her out,not letting people hear her rants.
.

The problem with speech, is that the freedom of speech allows people to protest other people's speech. That is a part of what free speech is all about.

Hey, if you're problem is getting hecklers and being silenced by the masses, maybe it's your attitude, or the way you are coming across or the message you are sending.

In NLP, they have a saying, the meaning of your communication is the responce you get.

NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming by the way. It's a relative modern communication technique to communicate more effectively.

Telling ya, all liberals are anti usa, this is just one more thing they can add to there reputation, and lame brained is all it is. (yet more laughs from me)

Actually liberals are much more strongly pro-usa that conservatives. Most liberals, and especially the old school Perot fans, want good results for their country. Liberals see their country being run by a total idiot who cant do anything right. The Iraq war being the biggest of the collosal blunders.

The problem I have with patriotism, is that it's all hype and smoke and mirrors. It's a manipulative technique right wingers use to say they are for their country, when behind the scenes their selling out deals to foreign corporations and countries to line their own wallets. I can see through this nonsense a mile away.

Ann Coulter attacked on campus
Guest: Fox News analyst Ellis Henican
As we predicted Ann Coulter was verbally assaulted at the University of Connecticut last night. This is a continuing trend on the part of far-left zealots, shouting down anyone with whom they disagree as well as defaming them and sliming them and generally hating them. Ellis Henican tried to explain. "Let me just say I'm not here to defend shouting people down. I would much rather out-argue Ann Coulter than silence her. But if you're Ann Coulter or any provocative speaker, you go out into the world, the great cacophony that is American political dialogue. You talk. People are going to talk back sometime at you and sometimes they're going to do it rudely and aggressively. And if you can't stand that kind of pressure, you shouldn't be in the polemic business." The Factor thought the reaction to Coulter was unacceptable. "Most people showed up, and I think there were 1,300 of them, to hear what the woman had to say. These far left Nazis -- and that's what they are, OK? -- came in, not only insulted Ms. Coulter but violated the rights of the people who came to hear what she had to say. This is unacceptable on every level."

I might a bit pedantic there, but I can't stand this kind of messed-up political classification. "Hitler was a socialist"? "The democrats are extreme left-wingers"? "The current US administration is a fascist regime"? Quite annoying, really.

Still don't get it, she was silenced before she even appeared, unlike sheehan was not.
Now figure it out yoursevles, geez.

On April 1, 1933, a week after Hitler became dictator of Germany, he ordered a boycott of Jewish shops, banks, offices and department stores. But the boycott was mostly ignored by German shoppers and was called off after three days. However, the unsuccessful boycott was followed by a rapid series of laws which robbed the Jews of many rights.

On April 7, "The Law of the Restoration of the Civil Service" was introduced which made 'Aryanism' a necessary requirement in order to hold a civil service position. All Jews holding such positions were dismissed or forced into retirement.

On April 22, Jews were prohibited from serving as patent lawyers and from serving as doctors in state-run insurance institutions.

On April 25, a law against the overcrowding of German schools placed severe limits on the number of young Jews allowed to enroll in public schools.

On June 2, a law prohibited Jewish dentists and dental technicians from working with state-run insurance institutions.

On May 6, the Civil Service law was amended to close loopholes in order to keep out honorary university professors, lecturers and notaries.

On September 28, all non-Aryans and their spouses were prohibited from government employment.

On September 29, Jews were banned from all cultural and entertainment activities including literature, art, film and theater.

In early October, Jews were prohibited from being journalists and all newspapers were placed under Nazi control.

Notice the MAY 6th one? and the sept29th one? kinda looking familiar ,more or less same difference and still has the same effect from the actions of the far left.

Strike 1 : She wasn't "silenced before she even appeared", she spoke for 15 minutes, then decided to stop. For all you know, it was all an overreaction to minor heckling. Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if the hecklers were plants and it was all for publicity

Strike 2 : If you call the people who heckled her "far left", you've got a great gift for the creative use of words.

Strike 3 : According to the Texas Constitution, no atheist can hold public office. Reminds me of a certain law passed on April 7th! Quick, oh guardians of neutrality and fair-mindedness! To Texas! Great prejudice is afoot!

Three strikes...Red_Fist's last post is out!

Look - I'm not defending the hecklers. They sound like immature idiots. But they're not a) Nazis b) "far left" c) even vaguely representative of all "liberals", in so far as that word even means anything.

So you taking this incident as some kind of major example of how bad liberals are is ridiculous. I could give a hundred examples of equivalent actions by conservatives ( I've already given 1 ), but I won't, because that wouldn't prove anything about conservatives in general.

The idea that America is split into two homogenous halves is both amusing and very dangerous. I wish people on both sides would be more mature about it. In the UK we have people who don't care enough about politics, in the US, you care far too much. Caring is usually the opposite of thinking.

You are so out of touch with reality it isn't even funny. Crying the nazis or communists are coming is just moronic.

Look, let me clear a couple of things up. There is no parrallel between the events in Nazi Germany, and the protests of Ann Coulter.

Second, Ann Coulter goes to colleges where she knows the intellectual elite will protest her to stir the pot. She didn't go to redneck rural country towns to give a speech, where she will probably be well recieved. No, she went to a place where she could cause trouble and get some press.

Third, you have a complete misunderstanding of all the events occurring in this situation, please die. :D

I'll make a final comment on the difference between Ann Coulter and Sheehan.

Ann Coulter is a rabble rouser, everything from the provacative and insulting nature of her books, to her use of childish putdowns to gain attention.

Sheehan is legitimately opposing the war. Look, it's ok to be against a war that is doing nothing good for the country, except wasting lives and money. Sheehan is right, we ARE, our own best enemy in this war.

It helps to see this holographically, rather than politically. To look simply at the war and ask, is this GOOD for us, or is this a waste of our time?

I say it's a waste, and I agree with anyone who says similarly.

To Frostblood : Everything Ann Coulter does is to get attention. She is basically, Top 40 politics, except I have more respect for Britney Spears than I do for people like Ann Coulter. If you dont take politics seriously and with a serious attitude, I will think that you dont give a damn about your country.

It is very important for me, that a politican or political guru give off the SINCERE impression that they CARE about the HEALTH of their nation. Ann Coulter doesn't.

Yep she caused trouble? , right.
