Super Weapons? :con: All the WeapPack 1 weapons had nearly identical ballistic models as the SS weapons UN, please enough with that BS about UBER weapons k?

I Kno i am SOOOO using the SPAS-12, FN FAL, M14DMR n the Steyr Aug

But questions,
a) Is it a Steyr Aug a1, a2, or a3?
b) Do u get specialty ammo 4 the SPAS? such as slugs?
c) Whats with no AK-47? It's classic, just have to make do with the AKMS
d) Is the RPG-7 lighter than the AT-4? Cus 30 bulk is just a lil too big
e) WHY IS THERE NO M60????

Thats it... now all we need is a release date!

You have to ask yourself if there is a significant enough difference between the weapons planned and the weapons that you ask for. Creating a new weapon isn't just a haphazard, quick process - it's actually quite painstaking (from my conversations with some members :p). Often, the only difference between, say the PKM and the M60 would be the look of it in the game ... ballistics are rarely (if ever) changed for new weapons and often use the ones already in the core game.

As for the AT4, I can't even imagine hauling around that monstrosity around. I think 30 bulk is just fine.

Super weapons??? *confused*

Modteam: Is the MP7 in its final production form yet (IRL)?

well, looking @ the contents of WP1, and then WP2, are we to assume that WP3 (if ever) would be uber-long :lol:

But on a serious note, size-wize, what's the estimation of megabytes?

And lastly... screenshots...? (or somwhere where I can see these guns in real?)

P.s. Keep up the good work. Be proud of your work for the community. I can assure you that it will be met with an increase of INF players and overall fun!

Lethal, the AUG is an A2 I believe. We're not saying anything about ammo types nor attachments, since we don't know yet (most of these are just models, nothing more). Taque, that includes the MP7.

Burger, there probably won't be a WP2 since we're changing our release strategy slightly. There's a few screenshots on our site, but since I've only got them working recently there aren't many at the moment, something we'll be sorting out as we get round to it.

I agree, releasing weapons one by one might be more motivating for the community and the team. (Although more difficult to convince admins to run 'em cause its 'just another' weapon instead of a huge bundle that none can ignore ...)

ohhh, I am a little bit confuse... we saw those screenshots (what an eye candy) of an Ak-47... of course it could be in fact an AKM (modernized AK), but the list says AKMS w/ GP25 GL.... I recall seeing a wooden buttstock, but if thats a AKMS, wouldn´t have to have a folding metal buttstock???

Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting for those new guns and the strategy of releasing one by one or small packs should be a better approach... and would keep us (annoying players begging for more models) busy enjoying the new "beauties" available...

I didnt know the DE .50AE was in the WP1. ;)



but on a more serious note, I have always felt that the M4 is clearly shorter and less powerful then a full-barreled 5.56mm weapon, so ought be doing SG551 damage. not that the +8% damage or whatever made the M4A1 a 'super-weapon' in my eyes, but if thats part of '{patch coming soon}' then I'd be one happy camper. :)

PS: @whoever: Corporal_Lib has a point, with the fixed stock thats just a plain-olde AKM /w GP25.
also to have the AKM with polymer furniture would be nice, maybe you could rig something up with multiple skins like the mp5? :winkwinknudgenudge:

If you think the .50AE is a super weapon now, you better hide from me in the next version. :enforcer:

Seriously, some guns are really better than others, in the real world and in the game. I'd like to see some weapons which exude style and grace but won't be used by every single player on the server. Like the 1911, great skin/model, good damage, excellent handling, low clip. A pistol for players with a fondness for antiquity and class. :)

Like I said privately to Bushwhack, the INFModteam is doing a great service to the INF community and I in no way meant to "attack" their work. I'm just asking for a better balanced arsenal so people won't take the same gun all the time.

Whoohoo! PKM! :eek: Finally, a real support weapon. Just please give it realistic recoil, unlike the (balanced) M249 that bucks you all over the place. I hope that weapon especially makes it in game.

Also, I saw you were talking about weapon enhancement. Would be great if you could take a look at damage and balistics for each weapon. Especially balisitics. Some weapons just shoot way too flat in game compared to what I've seen on balistics charts for the weapons in real life.

I.e. please just make each weapon as real as possible, with no balancing.

And if I could make just one suggestion for a NATO belt fed : HK21E with a 100 round belt.
