What if you could create combos of weapons using the akimbo feature?? What is you could hold an uzi in one hand and then another one-handed weapon in the other.. people could make awesome combos!

P.S. Im still gonna use akimbo desert eagles /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That would be wierd. Not sure if it would be very effective either.

btw, has anyone ever used akimbo DEs in real life (or akimbo anything for that matter). I wonder how difficult it would be to run around trying to shoot a moving target with akimbo DEs. Just curious.

I asked this same question a while ago and the reply was essentially "it sucks, accuraccy was horrible, never doing it again". I also got a response from the team saying that there was discussion over whether or not this feature should be included within the team.

nobody could go akimbo with an uzi and be a threat to anything but the ceiling.

I think I remember someone (gryphon?) saying uzis won't be akimbo-capable. I would think DEs would be almost just as hard to shoot accurately akimbo style, but I wouldn't know for sure.

I've talekd to someone who has shot the Desert Eagle .50
It's like hand shaking with an earthquake, you HAVE to use both hands or.. I don't know, it just wouldn't work /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Okay.. I can't imagine it being really hard I would assume you would fire one in your right hand, then the left, then the right... not at the same time.. By the way, shotguns can be akimbo too.. I've never really handled a gun though, but since it is possible they shouldn't exclude it right away..

If it doesn't make it into the game, I'll definitely make a mod for it someday /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

BTW:

-Agentsmith shot an DE on the Matrix with only one hand

-James Bond fired a walther as well as an uzi once.

-Terminator used two shotguns at once before

-Neo fired two uzi's and some strange pistols at the same time in the gov't building.

If its so hard, howcome movie makes seem to think otherwise?

Neo and Agent Smith were inside a computer program, the Terminator is a robot, and James Bond also shoots explosives out of his pen.

I think you get my point.

Smith, if THAT's the kind of thing you want, wait for Action UT. Every example you cited was from a movie. Movie action is not what Infiltration is about, as movie action has little to do with real life combat.

If you like movies, you surely have seen 'Dirty Harry'. I saw a picture of Clint fireing a live .44 round, not the crap they use in the movies, and he really looked impressed - even more since he shot it single handed.
And if we are at Terminator and Matrix, there is that funny and very realistic film called 'Aliens' -> they use 10mm ARs with 100 round mags and a pump-action 20mm grenadelauncher, why not add this too.
And maybe some Phasors from Star Trek, and the cool Light Sword from Star Wars.

In a movie everybody in this MB capable of carrying two guns of any type would be able to fire them akimbo - or a Minigun..
Fact is, that films are not made to be realistic, but to earn money. I'm sure Spielberg didn't get the Oscars for makeing realistic films, not even 'Schindlers List' was close to reality, at least not to that, what happened..

It's pretty hard to make a film "real". There are always flaws. But I thought Saving Private Ryan seemed to be pretty damn close, and a lot of WWII vets agreed.

Have to agree about 'Saving Pvt Ryan', though I don't know many WW2 vets it was the first film I was really shocked when I saw it for the first time; boy I really felt like being there myself..
Really liked it..
But I think 'Full Metal Jacket' is also quite 'real'

But my point is... if the INF team is going for realism than why don't let akimbo in INF... I mean its not physically impossible, you do have two hands, and even if the aiming is shitty... I wanna hold two AT4's with pride /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dual Uzis would be alright for me, as long as acurracy would be reflected in a 'realistic' way.
That would most people lead to not use them..
