RTNP for Mac?

I don't think a Mac conversion of RTNP exists, I've never seen one. It was probably thought that a conversion wasn't worth/wouldn't recoup the money. It is a complete stand-alone game, so they would have had to convert the engine again, not just map/texture/sound files.

Maybe you should push for a conversion of Unreal Gold to get both games.

Unreal is also available for the MAC.
I have never tried this.
Related files may be the same, just executables and rendering files may be different.
If you have RTNP or UGOLD, copy maps/textures/sound/music *.u files and *.int files over.

So it is possible..

I already play Unreal through UT, as it seems to run a bit smoother (plus I like playing Unreal with UT weapons). So if I can play RTNP through UT as well, that leaves me with just one problem. Where can I get it at? I assume the CD version only works with PC? Is there somewhere I can download it from? (Of course I will pay for it too, Unreal and UT have given me more value for the dollar than any other product)

Well the trounle is...

Uhm, back to the original topic, you see, I don't have the Unreal Gold CD, because they don't make it for the Mac. Nor do they make a seperate RTNP CD for it either, as far as I know. See my problem?

Okay, I'm interested. How did you modify the UPak.u file so that RTNP plays in UT? If I can get all of Unreal Gold to run in UT, I might get it off my hard drive.

BTW, I'm not interested in playing Unreal with UT's weapons. It changes the atmosphere of the map, and in some cases it just doesn't make sense. I really think that the Stinger fits better into the Rrajigar Mines than the Pulse Gun, for example.

I agree, but after you've finished Unreal a couple of times, its fun for kicks. Its especially fun to mow down brutes and skaarj with double enforcers.

Once I started up a homemade Unreal 1 deathmatch from the UT console (i.e. ~"open dm-whatever") without Oldskool pr UTCoop on. It was wierd, I got the original Unreal weapons, but the shot graphics were all slightly different. The ASMD bursts looked especially strange. Not important, but interesting.
