Been playing single player games lately. Really enjoyed them as well.

NaissanceE is definitely a special one. It's a first person platformer, with a few puzzle elements thrown in here and there. There's a lot of exploration to be done in the game, but in the end the player must find and follow the set path. The game is almost entirely monochromatic, with different colours dominating different areas in the end. Most of the geometry consists of cubes, but it has lots of spirit. The game is partly designed around the music they used. Some very odd alternative stuff
I recommend it very much. It's around €13 on Steam. I completed the game in two sittings. About 5-6 hours.

Mind: Path to Thalamus felt rather pretentious at times, but overall turned out okay. It's a first person puzzler, narrated by what sounds like an incredibly angsty teenager. They could without a doubt have picked a better voice actor and a better writer for said actor. Never the less, the game is absolutely gorgeous, the puzzles are alright, the story is decent despite the criminally bad voice acting, and it is currently being remade in UE4 with full Oculus Rift support.

Vanishing of Ethan Carter, I'm sure most of you have played this one, or at least heard about it. It's an awesome game with a great story and great puzzles. I really enjoyed it.

Ori And The Blind Forest, an amazing 2D platformer. Everything about it was amazing, except for the control scheme. I slaved through the first 30 minutes of gameplay using my Xbox 360 controller, only to realise that mouse+keyboard outclasses it in every way. I can't imagine a person retaining their sanity while pulling some of the combos towards the end of the game on a controller.

Just got through Episode 1 of Life is Strange. It's a rather interesting game on the Unreal Engine. Certainly takes advantage of a load of interactivity. It might seem like a "chick flick" game, but, boy...you have to admit. Square Enix and Dontnod know how to make for one of the better ways of how to use the Unreal Engine for something other than a shooter.

I played through episode 3 last week, am enjoying it. Currently aiming for the lesbian path, obviously.

Is that the one were the girl can go back in time and do stuff over? If it is, I'm seriously thinking of getting the episodes.

Well...Episode 2 went probably even faster than Episode 1 did. Wow...these eps are too super short! Although it was great to play through, I'll grant you that.

If you spend a proper amount of time exploring the environment, speaking to people and so on, you can easily get 2 or 3 hours out of each episode. That's pretty good for the price I think.

The first expansion for Endless Legend just came out, so I'm keen to waste half my life playing this again.

Probably the best 4X game ever to hit the market.

Expansion was thoroughly disappointing; it barely changed the core game, and as a result didn't hold my attention for very long :(

Just finished playing Drunken Robot Pornography. Weird game, but fairly enjoyable. Clocked all 5 hours of it in more or less a single sitting.

I suppose I can agree with that. In fact, I might play through the first couple of episodes to squeeze out each and every single Steam achievement they have! Looks like I'll have to look at the IGN walkthroughts to know how to get them all.

I've been playing the shit out of Mad Max lately.
and you should, too. it's pretty much awesome all the way around. I don't remember the last time - if ever - that I enjoyed a video game based on a film. but everything about this game is fun and executed really well. it's gorgeous, the sound effects are amazing, the combat is punishing and varied and satisfying, the world is huge and exploration yields upgrades for Max and his rides and his base.

Still The Witcher 3 and Titanfall. I finished FarCry4 a couple weeks ago. T'was great... I also bought the Rare Replay collection but I don't have time playing all these games :(
On top of that I've been eyeing to buy Dying light for the coop with friends.

Some stupid part of me decided that people give Daikatana a bit too much shit, it couldn't seriously be as bad as everyone says.
...
Yeah, I was wrong.

bigger than 3 and New Vegas.
not combined, but bigger than both of those were. and if you ask me, everything in F4 looks 10x better out-of-the-box than either of those games did in Vanilla form.
