Fate of Time Map Pack Released

Unreal Tournament is alive and well... and frankly, looks better than ever! Fate of Time is the latest map pack for UT from the Timewarp crew. Yes, we're a little (a lot?) slow in getting it to the front page, but it's a gem of a pack and it deserves all the attention we can give it. Assault, Capture the Flag, and Deathmatch levels are all included - see the review news post below for names and authors.

Downloaded and looked over the maps. They are very spiffy looking, indeed. Nice work, guys.

EDIT: Just had a much closer look a CTF-FOT-Selket. Hey Swanky, if you read this, then please come and help me pick my lower jaw up off the floor. That is one right-fine piece of work as the gameplay is even better than the visuals. :tup:

Which texture set were they taken with standard or S3TC?

(the best answer would be standard - then the maps can only look even better :)).

Some really nice looking stuff in there but I wouldn't go as far as to say this looks anything like UT3 - Nice smooth BSP work but some garish lighting combinations for my taste, however, the fact that there is some colour in these maps is strangely refreshing after what I've seen in UT3.
Really nice to see people still making levels for UT, especially maps of this quality.

These maps exemplify what I have always wanted to get across to Epic. Nice clean maps that have detail yet don't look cluttered with NEEDLESS detail, and solid colors that imo are the best kind of eye candy (aside from a nekkid woman).

Sometime i download a map that look rather pretty just to remove it few days later after noticing the gameplay was rather boring or not flowing, and bots were stuck everywhere.

But it is absolutely not the case of this map pack, not only you have insanely good looking arenas but the gameplay is fantastic and bots are competent enough to have fun with the AI.

The AS map is just incredible, can't imagine how much hours the mapper must have spent on it.

Now heading straight to the Timewarp crew website to collect all their map packs.

Thank you to the contributors of those map packs for helping me to continue to have so much fun with that 9 years old game.
