By the way... after like 4 weeks BU still didn't care about helping us uploading the file to their servers... Mailed Brizzy a few times, but received only one answer with "just upload it there and it should work". Appearantly, it didn't. There was no further answer with suggestions on how to fix things, though milb, Revelation and I had some theories about it now working which could have fixed a lot, and most importantly... fast. So... there is no BU mirror for now.

I've got word from hal just before he posted the news, but it seems kinda wierd that he doesn't know what's going on or simply couldn't link to the package on a BU server.

Sorry Swanky. I didn't know about it and I don't deal much with the technical end. Send me the details of what you've tried to do and I'll find out what's going on.

There are two things to note, in general:

1. Our ftp service is down. We're currently implementing a more secure solution.
2. Our mirrors are not controlled directly by us. We have arrangements made with file mirrors who allow us to push up the files from a local directory. If they change something on their end, they don't often let us know and it requires time to fix it.

As I said, I don't know about this really, so I can't say with certainty, but 4 weeks sounds like an awful long time to have to deal with uploading a file. We'll find a solution for you. Thanks for understanding.

Very beautiful maps  Downloading asap. I've always been happy with the quality of the FoT and also the CtC mappacks. UT 1 is still full of surprises ;-)

3. We've found that if you upload a file, and if you decide to delete it and upload a new version of that file, then fileworks doesn't seem to mirror it (I guess because it doesn't think it's new, or something)... unless you get an admin to force the mirroring. I've done this a couple of times with CBP but thankfully Haarg is around to save the day ;)

Yeah, but they'd be on fire.
Mind-numbingly awesome, to say the least. The amount of detail in the architecture is fantastic, as are all the other little things. :D Definitely shows what the Unreal engine is capable of in it's geriatric state.

You can blame me for the mirror troubles. I meant to get it taken care of much earlier, but kept forgetting. They should be resolved at this point.

There were a couple of issues contributing to the problem, due to the age of our mirroring system. Something I've been meaning to work on so these problems don't continue to crop up, but there's only so many hours in a day.

Also note that FTP access is restored at this point.

I thought it was UT3 from the first picture.
+1
The terrain detail is just mind blowing :O
The problem with these maps (At least from what I noted with the other FoT maps) was that they require much better hardware than the core game to run. I guess this level of graphics comes at a price though...

Yeah, rigs back then would have ground to a halt with these maps which is why they can pack em out - no problem running decent fps on the new machines though.
UT after all this time still pwns newer games.

Unreal Tournament is alive and well... and frankly, looks better than ever! Fate of Time is the latest map pack for UT from the Timewarp crew. Yes, we're a little (a lot?) slow in getting it to the front page, but it's a gem of a pack and it deserves all the attention we can give it. Assault, Capture the Flag, and Deathmatch levels are all included - see the review news post below for names and authors.

And now, the screenage:
