Yeah I know it's blurry. It looked fine through the view finder. This was after all day of being in the sun with no sunscreen and hardly any water. Maybe it only looked in focus because I was crazed.

Jacks, the one determining factor for me buying a 10 megapixel camera was the fact that the CCDs are larger than the 6-8 megapixel range camera CCDs. That means not only more pixels, but also more pixels per square mm, hence better resolution, especially when you use the digital zoom.

I've been checking out this thread weekly for a while now, some awesome photographers here. Finally decided to post a few of mine. For a compact point and shoot my Lumix TZ5 is a great little camera. Some of these photos may have had some Picasa 'I'm Feelin Lucky' treatment but nothing else.

I can dig through more if there's interest.

Don't use the digital zoom. It does a crap job on any camera. Just zoom in the best you can optically and then crop it in Photoshop or the likes later. The image will look a lot better without the cut and stretch job your camera does.

Amazing! At first I thought you might of made this in Photoshop, but it's not. Nice composition too. :)

So I shot a sequence of 142 pictures that I would like to make a video out of, but iMovie only lets you show a single photo no shorter than 1/2 second. Is there anything out there that is free for Mac that will let you combine photos to make a video.

I am not trying to make a slide show. I want each frame I shot to make up a single frame of video. I checked Google, but not much luck.

There's probably a way to get ffmpeg for OS X.
If you got that running it works like this:
ffmpeg -f image2 -i ./mypicsequence%d.jpg ./holla.mpg

Of course you might want to give a lot more parameters for the output format, frame rate etc.

So I'm pretty goddamn upset right now. My camera sucks.

I was trying to get a bunch of low-light shots today and the camera would say "busy" for 4-6 seconds before it would let me shoot. What the **** is up with that. I missed ALOT of really decent to great shots because of this. Hell, some moments completely passed by me because of this.

Yes, I was shooting in auto-mode, which was probably my problem, but motion + low light = no go with manual settings. Atleast I don't know what I'm doing.
