IIRC, in parts of that game the players race to see who can rotate the joystick around the fastest- but the muscles in your thumb and hand get tired of that quickly, so they use their open palm, making use of their whole arm. I agree with you about the "hole" thing though, you'd have to go pretty damn fast and be very inept (/just numb) to get a fairly flat piece of plastic to bore through your flesh. My guess would be that it's more of an abrasion than a hole and the media just went and did what it does best: over-dramatization.

Sounds like a load to me. At best I could beleive if the analog stick had been broken at one point so she had a sharp 6mm shaft left to puncture her skin..but big whoop. Is this all the media has to talk about. What a load of crap.
When are people going to realize that parents have a responsibility to raise their children.
So if the kid plays for hours on end. Thats the parents fault for not stepping in and making the kid do something else. OH but then it would argue..then the parents would say I am helpless.
SPANK the little **** ...and if that doesn't work SPANK HER EVEN HARDER. I am so sick of hearing about kids not being diciplened because of fear on the parents part of being thought of as cruel.
For God's sake its YOUR CHILD dicipline the kid and tell everyone else to (%*&^$ off. the media and society are not responsible for raising your children.
