Just to update:

I have to resit some modules so I don't have time to do any mapping; also my "brake" was entering the 3dbuzz old school contest so I’m not realty up for much mapping ATM

Also I want to try and keep this on a back burner for my 3rd year 2nd semester CAAD project. If I were to finish it now I wouldn’t have anything to do for it :p

So yeah, updates will come in dribs and drabs every now and again.

I have decided to try and do the entire building however including some of the exterior campus in order to make it seem more real :D

Current issue: set up some proper light mapping so I don’t end up with a frame rate mess like my 3dbuzz entery XD

Looks neat...I like the little hologram blueprints. Those light cones in the first screenshot look a bit awkward though, like they have no real focused source.

This map looks great, you going to release it?

I do yes, however not till after its marked by tutors, so it will be about erm ... 8 months? It depends on what my tutor says in referance to release.

He said he was attempting to create some of the surrounding outdoor enviroment arounf the building so it wasn't just an indoor based map.

not exactly what I ment ... Now I have decided to make the entire building I will have to include the exterior enviroment so it makes sence visualy when you reach a window ... if I allow players outside the building I would have serious containment issues.

contain them within the play area...letting them outside a building means you have to reasonably map an area around the building, instead of mapping whatever scenery they can see from the windows

It's a big step to go from a good looking backdrop to an integrated playfield, and if the focus is on the architecture and layout of the building itself, probably better to centralize the battle I'd think.
