Hehe. You should see my public restroom routine.
I push the stall open with my shoulder, and then grab some tp to protect my hand while I lock the door behind me. If they have those nifty toilet seat protecters, I'll grab one of those and use it. If not, I'll get long strips of tp and lay them around on the seat. After, if it's not one of those automatic flushie things, I'll get more tp to unlock the stall with, toss it in the bowl, and then flush with my foot. Usually, the stall door will swing open by itself. If not, I try to use my elbow or shoulder to get it open. Then, if there's not an automatic hand dryer, I'll grab some paper towels, tuck them under my arm, and wash my hands. If I'm really lucky the sink will have one of those automatic eyes and I won't have to touch the faucet. But if not, I'll dry my hands with the towels and then use the towels to turn off the water. Then, if there's a door that I have to open to leave, I'll use those same towels to open the door, then I'll hold the door open with my shoulder as I toss the paper towels in the trash.
Voila! Of course, there are those times when I'm just grateful to have a place to go and all phobias go out the window! Heehee. Maybe sometime I'll share my rather colorful stories of India!

One great pet-peeve I have is restroom doors that you have to pull open to exit.

i find that with the combination of the foot flush, and the shirt assisted door open, it's usually better to just bypass that nasty ass sink area all together.
i don't pee on my hands that often, so i'm in the clear.

yep, then you learn the tentilitive two finger quick pull. of corse Some sinks are best bypassed alltogether. YUCK!

No no! That's all wrong!
There's no telling what's on that paper towel dispenser! I certainly can't touch it after washing my hands! Using my method, as outlined before, the germ risk is minimized to its fullest! Sheesh.

Hehe, I am just as compulsive as you guys! although I don't usually stuff the paper towels under my arm. If the dispenser has one of those levers, I just leave it hanging and pull it off after washing, then turn the water off.
