My name used to be "Dr. Know" in Command and Conquer. I had just seen the James Bond movie, and thought it would be cool. But I was the Dr. No that Knows. That got old, so a couple of months ago I had just seen Dr. Strangelove, so I thought it would be a cool name...and I look a little like that Dr. Strangelove, just not a Nazi. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

oh, and I have an AK47 in my sig because it fits Dr. Strangelove better than a US weapon.

No, I did not intentionally name myself after a popular Russian firearm.

A=the first letter of my first name.
K=the first letter of my last name.
Thusly, (in accordance with prophecy), Ak. (No, the last letter is not capitalized)
People actually call me Ak in real life too, mostly because there were 4 other people with the dame damn name in my building last year...(out of 147)
In game, however I also sometimes use the nick: Your Momma, for sheer entertainment value.

Another "underscore kid"...

I couldn't think of any witty nickname for myself, and was never given a nickname to speak of by my friends growing up (I guess I'm a pretty boring dude). So I simply chose the first letter of the NATO phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, delta, echo, etc).

In case I wasn't the only one who had that idea, I added a number at the end. I simply chose the highest single-digit number (base ten of course).

I later found this name to be useful during team matches w/ bots, especially in standoff mode. I got tired of trying to remember who was friend & who was foe when a bot was taken out. So I started naming all my teammates Alpha_10, Alpha_11, Alpha_12, etc. And the enemy team became "Bravo_9", Bravo_10", "Bravo_11", etc. So now when a bot is killed, I immediately know whether it's my team that has lost one or not.

Snakeye is the Name for a 500 pound Mk82 retarded iron bomb - the cool one with the metal cross, not the new air-inflatable retard types..
Comes from me often playing sims and always preferring to play in the mud with a single seater, just like the F/A-18.
Apart from this I have a damn fear - as well as some kind of fascination - of snakes.
