what do I have to download for the new OGL version?

I use direct3d, but the G3 has a clipping error that can only be fixed by using the openGL mode, but the weapon icons down the bottom are covered and the whole thing is too dark. In the end, I just decided that it was better to sacrifice the use of the G3 for brighter view and the ability to see the weapon icons down the bottom.

However, if some of the tips said here work, I may change my mind (haven't voted yet...)

Are most of the mappers using Open GL?

By the way Chris Donhal OpenGL has just been updated 5 days ago.
So go get the 2.8 version to test it if you have some problems with your current one
Or just install it to see some bugs fixes and some new approaches to 16bits colors textures support.

Thx for the link field. This new version almost solved my problem : now i don't have to switch my desktop resolution before launching the game, i only need to adjust the in-game gamma everytime, and that's it. hurray !

So everytime i wanna start Inf, i have to turn my desktop resolution to 1280, launch the game, and then adjust the brightness (which is always too dark by default) within the video settings.

My workaround for the brightness bug:

1. Go to graphic settings in Inf.
2. Set screen color to 16 bit and apply.
3. Immediatly set screen color back to 32 bit and apply.
4. Set gamma slider. (it now works!!)

Looks the new driver may have fixed this bug. I'll try it ASAP.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a 2nd hand gf4ti for Inf. Being also the last gf to support palletized textures. The 9800pro looks really good with AA and AF but i miss the 'fluent' feeling of a gf card. Ati opengl just falls behind nvidia, sadly.

well, i did use a Diamond Multimedia Viper 770 unltra(32 meg) and used d3d.open gl didnt work all that great for some reason.i didnt like the dark feeling.

i have since upgraded to a geforce4 440 mx (64 meg) and i still use d3d because it still has gama problems even after.
