I went through there today while I was running around town checking out some places (FNAC a place d'italie, Vandoren music at the Blanche stop on M2 ...). I don't care about dirty, actually, the system here is the BOMB - you can get anywhere very quickly.

Possible, but I don't have a digital camera here. I might swing and grab one in Canada (god damned electronics are expensive here) so if I do, I'll run by mosts locations and do some shots. This entire city is like a big INF map dream/nightmare, so the possibilities are really endless.

Yes electronics are expensive here, but you shouldn't go buy anything in those big electronic store (like fnac or surcouf). There are some medium sized shop where prices are more interesting, and in some of them you can even bargain.

While recordings DO exist online of the excerpt I provided, I can assure you that I have the exact copy sitting in my CD wallet with my name on the CD. Ant, by "interesting," do you mean horribly overpriced, comes with a catch, free bottle of wine ...?

Taque, definitely the way to buy electronics stuff here (I'm assuming it's a similar thing in France) is on the internet, most stores way overprice things. I reccommend dabs.com (they have a French site now).

go to surcouf in the 12th "arrondissement" , then dont go to the surcouf , go to rue montgallet just next to it , its a rue with all the cheapest electronics stuff in france, all shops owned by taiwanese people

lol I just heard about this place from a guy who's been living here for a year, except he said "chinkies." I didn't find it offensive, as I'm 1/4 ... Anyway, my dorm prohibits me from introducing new appliances into my room.
