My Gaming Rig was OLD! Now the Z68 mobo is FUBAR, causes lock ups in game. Looks like the mobo has the sound bug issue all the time now.

So, currently running on the old travel box and using the 780TI Classified and 750watt PSU from the Z68.

My travel player name is Anti-S@int, from the Chevelle song. The Box is a ASUS P8 Z77 with i7-2600K running at 4.5GHz. The Z77 does not seem as stable as the Z68 did when overclocked.

I last ran this PC back in 2015, so it took several days and nights to update. I have another Z68 board somewhere and will replace the bad one as soon as I find time, then I can play under my standard Bobba_Novis nic again.

I troubleshot my ASUS Z68 setup thjat failed a couple months ago. I discovered the 2 faults and was able to work around them.
Fault #1 - The video card, EVGA 780Ti Classified, has a bad display port output. The HDMI and DVI ports work fine.
Fault #2 - The hard drive was new in 2011, but now, the OS, win7 pro, will no longer boot. So, I replaced the hard drive with an SSD.

I was able to install Win7 Home on the new SSD, along with UT3 and UT2. The system still does the Over Clock @ 4.6Ghz, (vcc=1.390v, base clock=98, mult=47). All 4 cores are flawlessly running again at 4.6Ghz!

UT3 would not permit me to login using my old nic, Bobba_Novis. So, I will continue running my ASUS P8Z77 setup for now.
