One that would be really cool would be a randomizer: it would randomize a bot's stats instead of just all being godlike or whatever, so you'd get a mixture of different types of bots.

I did a basic skill randomizer some times ago, here it is

Behind you biatch!!
UT1 bots were the best to play against. And you could easily nerf Loque's accuracy if you wanted. Those bots were pretty stupid, which is part of the charm. Watching them rocket suicide on the wall next to them, dodging into lava. I liked how the UT1 bots multidodged, even though it was slightly over the top sometimes.

UT2k4 bots were the worst. Less customization possible, very hard to nerf accuracy (on Godlike, it's always high, even if you pulled the accuracy slider as far left as you could). They don't dodge, except in response to your projectiles. Getting good hits with rockets was difficult, unless you were so close you also took splash damage. Hitscan dominates the bots far more then it does online.

UT3 bots were an improvement. They aren't aimbots with the link shaft and actually miss with the flak. They move around somewhat too. The problem is the bots extreme aim. Instagib is unplayable, unless you like being shot from strange angles so accurately every 5 seconds. Oh, and no customizations possible (haven't tried mapmixer yet).

I seriously loathed how UT2k4 bots crouched all the freaking time.

Agreed, UT1 bots were the most entertaining, by far & still are.

BTW Gades, thanks for porting some of the UT3 voicepacks back to UT1, They work terrific & fit in very well.

Lol yeah. Especially when they knew about your presence from behind, whilst remaining in a crouched position, they just slowly turned around and as soon as you got in their LOS, bang you were into pieces.

I also remember laughing hard at those goldlike bots using flak. I decided to go in god mode, words can no describe how aimboty they are really Not only their accuracy but the movement as well, they stick to you like only the decor is moving, it's complete nonsense.. They fixed that in UT3, the bots tend to get lost during up close combat, get very bad accuracy from skin to skin moments.

I was pleased to see that. Otherwise they're still pretty much more-of-the-same.

Forgot to mention that. Extremely annoying. Especially when you miss headshots because of that.

Thx. Glad you liked them.
