UT Posters vs. Q3 posters

Well I guess UT must have something the Q3 pushers (here) feel insecure about...thus the need to always try and compare the two.
If you go to http://forums.planetquake.com
you will see there are no (0) posts where UT players went there to try an tell everybody how good our game is. Therefore, one can only assume that we are confident in our game being really good...and some Q3 posters have an insecurity complex...in other words...they are pro Q because of principle's sake rather than realistic reasoning and after comparing the two games, now feel compelled to come here and try to convince themselves that Q3 is better or UT sucks or whatever their insecurities motivate them to post.
I invite you to go to that url and see if you can find (1) post where a UTr is over there trying to slam Q3....I only went back 5 pages so I guess if you dig deep enough you could find something. Point made though.

I totally agree man!!! 100%!!! When I come here I want to read imformative posts about UT. Not every other post about UT vs Q3 which is better? Who the f*** cares? make your own choices. Read the forums, game reviews etc. Q3 is actually good, nay better for some people than UT. Others not. I see no need for the UT vs Q3 posts. I don't see it going on on www.planetquake.com that much. Here it is happening every day or so. If you truly want an honest opinion about UT here is the place to ask, but why ask if UT is better than Q3 here? Not many of us have bought Q3, so we really can't answer.

I don't care about whether or not UT is better than Q3 or vice versa. Know why? I am a big boy and know how to make my own choices. I don't need iD cronies coming here and telling me that I suck cause I bought UT. Now I admit I have made my 2 posts on what I thought about UT and Q3, but I made it known why I choose UT without thrashing Q3. I believe Q3 is probably a decent game, but it doesn't have what I want in a multi-player FPS. Nuff said.

quake3world.com. In fact several of you clan members have been there posting crap. So
UY better pay attention to your own backyard before you assume that all a Q3 poster worries about is UT. .

And all I did UY is go 4 pages back on the Q3 forum in Planetquake and if you look there is
BoBW posting about Q3 reviews that trash Q3.
There is also several IDIOTIC posts from some moron who flames everysone Saying Yeah I did it I returned Q3. John Carmack Sucks and UT rules.
UY,I would like it if you went to that forum and Apologized for STEREOTYPING Q3 fans. okay. Next time you think your right. Make sure you ARE ABSOLUTELY Sure your right.

And the other reason that there are barely any UT posts? Simple cause the Planetquake posters have the sense not to respond to any

This reminds me of the bickering between V2 SLI owners and TnT owners just before the release of the V3 and the TnT2. That being said, the analogy is flawed in the following ways:

Video boards are hardware and most people only have one gaming PC, whereas UT and Q3 are games that everyone can put on their one gaming PC. Granted it costs cash to own both, but many gamers will do this. Personally, I own and play both games. Why not, for both of them are fun and will likely be improved upon by mods over the next year. I'd like to see a jailbreak mod for both of them, for I sure loved that in Q2.

I only post here and at Unreality..no place else..so anything I say is related to these boards. I was curious why this silly need to continually compare the two games HERE and was curious if it was being done elsewhere..so I went to planetquake to see and I didnt find one in 5 pages...my nemisis says there was one...but the point was still made..they talk about quake stuff there..as they should.
So then I wondered why quakers would come here to post controversial threads..thus the answer as stated above. But actually, this has been happening here for a long time and used to be worse...it gets old seein the same ol stupid threads:

"UT vs Q3"
"WHich is better Q3 or UT"
"Weapons in Q3 better"
"Ive played Q3 and UT."
on an on an on an on...
Bottom line..this is an UT forum and if you push Quake here you risk starting sh-t but then..thats about 90% why its done anyway. The trouble makers here are easy to identify.

I am sure that the people who love Q3A are honored to have you as their spokesperson. Dude, you just are ot happy unless you are crying. Sold any girlscout cookies lately. BTW, I own both, and I like both. However, UT is more polished, and Q3A, while good is depending on the community to make cool mods like assault, and the likes. If you ask me, lazy describes that action. Mark my words...

Game companies cannot survive on DM alone in the future.
