Unreal Gold Savegame Problem

Hey, I bought Unreal Gold, and there's a problem occuring with some saved games in Return to Na Pali. This does not happen with the original game, only the mission pack. Here's what's happening:

In a few of the levels, when I save the game after going into certain areas, and try to reload that game, it crashes with a Critical Error. It's kind of annoying because there's no way to predict when this is going to happen, and once the game is saved, if it does happen, it's too late to fix it.

Here's the error string it gave me last time this happened:

Server is already at capacity.

History: MatchViewportsToActors <- (crashsite1) <- ClientInit <- UGameEngine::LoadMap <- LoadURL <- UGameEngine::Browse <- ClientTravel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Is there some kind of patch, or any way to resolve this that anyone knows of?

Thanks Hellscrag. I probably should have searched the forum first anyway, but I did after reading your reply.

In case it helps anyone else, this is the solution I found:

Open the Unreal.ini file in notepad. Scroll down to [Engine.GameInfo]
You'll see a line that reads MaxPlayers=16
Change this to MaxPlayers=32
save the change and restart the game. That should solve the problem. Also have you installed the NaPali patch? I've heard that this also solves the problem.



So that's it.
