Dude I’m taking about UT2004. I have problems running ONS-Urban with a P4 2.4 GHz 512 DDR ram and a Gf4 Ti 4200 or 4400 (I forget which). My point of bringing this up was to show that my system surpasses the recommended requirements and still chokes on stock maps. And if this is going to be the same case with the UT2007 recommended requirements then it’s definitely a waste of time and money buying upgrades almost a year before it is released.Undead Dude said:Neophoenix, I really am in doubt that you will be able to run the game whit this processor and so little amount of RAM. If you've watched one of the game's engine previews you should have known that gf6800 is the first video card that is able to run the gaem... but in descent framerates...
There's something else that goes in my mind- I thing that Epic are going to make the PC version run in less colours(I think 64 or even 32bits ), unlike the PS3 version which is going to be on 128bit colours. The main priority of PS3 is the Cell processor which is absolutely devastating and because I'm sure that there is going to be Linux(I'm a linux fan) for PS3, I'm going to buy it as soon as it is released in Bulgaria. There are rumors, that Cell will be released for PCs and at very lol prices- around $35, and if that is true and the release thate is 1or 2 mounths after the PS3's one I'm going to wait for it and buy it whit a 2xGF7800GTX in SLI mode. The only that bothers me is that the rumor is false...
Who said anything about Minimum? I'm talking about their Recommended there is a big difference between the two. And when your system surpasses the Recommended and still chokes on maps, there is something wrong there. So either they need to give Better system requirements, optimize their levels better, or there is something on my system that is off. Though I doubt it's the last option seeing as the same thing happened to my brother on his system with Doom3. He also surpassed every system requirement and still had FPS issues, and he’s a computer programmer so it's not like he doesn't know what he’s doing when it comes to computers.Dark Pulse said:Well, see, there's a difference between THEIR Minimum specs and OUR Minimum specs. To them, if it runs at 30 FPS with Normal details, that's acceptable. Gamers are more... discerning.
